Video!! My maiden video didn't record, so this is maybe the fourth flight with the DA35. It'll do just about everything you throw at it. I really need to play with the rates/expo as I am chasing my rudder inputs. I was just starting to do that when the Black Bear interrupted me.

Hi Nick,

couple of questions:
- how is the Edge compare to your AJ Laser 73 in terms of performance/precision flying and structure?
- do you know the weight of the Edge with the DA 35?
- is it possible to install a canister instead of the pitts muffler? From your previous pictures, it seems that there is enought space under the fuel tank bay?

Many thanks,
John

I'm going to fly my 107" Yak with a DA120 this weekend (removed my 3W106 with canisters). With mufflers but I'm not happy. I have canisters on everything, I hate mufflers. I would do anything I could to get a canister on that plane.

Hey John!
Sorry for the late response.
The 73 Laser is hard to beat IMO, I really love that plane.
The 75 edge does track great, feels a bit looser on the sticks so to speak with it's larger surfaces. There is some room for a small cannister and maybe a pipe, but I don't think the weight penalty is worth it. With a 90" bird you are adding a pound with a can. Having flown the 75 with an electric setup, I can tell you it was floatier but lacked the mass to carry momentum in a tumble with the heavier gasser setup and is faster.

Cheers,
-Nick
