Sport Racing plane for 3 cylinder Kolm engine.

I couldn’t resist I just had to put the wing on the complete fuselage and see how all the colours and striping looked. I am happy with the results. Now just the tail feathers and the covering will be done. The wing looks weird that is just an optical illusion. Trust me the wing has a 40% taper in it.

Just a small up date one side of the stabilizer is done tomorrow the other side.

Well that’s the rubber done and the covering is also done. Now I have to start assemble and buy a new radio. Will do an assembly later on and see how it all looks all put together.

Just for interest this shows how much covering was required to cover the plane. 6 empty roll and 3 started being used.

Well 4 hours later the plane has a tail whee. Had the tail wheel and it looks big enough. Just had make the bracket to the rudder and the pull springs.

I never liked carbon spinners and now I even dislike them more. What a big loss when TruTurn left the business, they were expensive but a top notch company and quality. They ran true and never out of balance. I have 2 - 5 inch carbon spinners and both don’t run true and are way out of balance and from to different companies. If someone knows who makes a good quality 5 inch spinner let me know please.
The propeller needed a little work but it is nicely balanced now.

I've had good luck with Falcon carbon spinners but nothing in the 5" range. I have few old carboin spinners made by Pete that worked well in 4 1/2" and 5" size.

I have one and it is is Falcon back plate excellent but cone not so much. The smaller ones have been great.
