No WORDS... RIP - Reza Gholamipour

We chatted on these websites several times over the years. He seemed to really enjoy life, whether it was flying airplanes, riding bikes or on a jet ski... lived life to the fullest. Very sorry to hear of this loss.

Can't argue with that kind of logic!

Interesting.... Sounds like a great idea. As for the Gyro, bow much do you find that it helps on slow speed flying? I've seen several threads on gyros in planes, but never took the time to look into them. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Where do you find those fittings? My powered gas can and fueler fitting uses them, and I'd like to pick up some spares.

    Scale Pitts S1-T, S1-S, and a Challenger.

I wish CompARF would have thought about a tube for that hole in their top wing. It's a (witch) to get the driver properly aligned on the bolt and keep it there! But I do like the bolt-up solution. Keeps the wings secure to the center section, its well hidden, and has never come loose.

Do you have a hole in the bottom of the wing that the ball driver fits through?

But when you complete that work, you have something to be really proud of.

If it didn't cost $4K and come in a crate from Taiwan..... Then you have a lot of work to do!

It is truly amazing what you guys can do with a box of sticks and a few molded plastic pieces!

    Show Me the Biplanes!!!!

I agree, that's a nice looking bipe, but with all that black Ultracote, I'm afraid you'd spend more time ironing wrinkles than flying. I think the plane might be perfect for my DA85 laying around, but I may have to keep looking.

    Show Me the Biplanes!!!!

I think I've had the plane finished for about a year and a half, it hasn't been to the field but 3 times. Flies great, but I think I'm getting lazy in my old age. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

    Show Me the Biplanes!!!!

This one's very quickly becoming my hangar queen. Every time I think about going to the field, my next thought is about all the time it takes to get the wings and flying wires set up, then taking it apart at the end of the day... so I grab my MX2 and the Pitts spends another week in the basement.

Speak up and win!! We're turning ONE, time to celebrate!!

(And if you guys don't know who Silver Fox is, there isn't a bigger proponent of Giant Scale flying on this planet).

Speak up and win!! We're turning ONE, time to celebrate!!

This should probably be discussed in another thread... But has this practice worked? How many members do we have with zero posts, and how does that compare to other sites? I understand that members = value, but I wonder how many people, like Silver Fox, are turning away in favor of ease of use?

I can understand requiring a guest to join before they can post to the site... But holding photos ransom seems a bit much. I think the people posting those pictures (at least for me) intend to share them with everyone.

I didn't realize that.... Bartman, why require a logon just to view pics?
