The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Kind of cool the way it says "FUEL TANK" on it. LOL. Those are really great tanks. I have them in all my birds. Mine do not say "FUEL TANK" on them though.

Nice thing is, if it was cheap enough it will get your friend back on the sticks and give him time to find a really good airframe. Ya'll know all too well I am not a DA fan. That being said, if the 1 fity runs well then I would say transplant it to a new airframe when he is ready. I have a...

Thanks... So the black exhaust tips are for the DLE 55cc engine. I think...hmm......let me think about this. Yes, I remember. I bought them off ebay. I simply cut the extensions back to fit the length I wanted and attached them with two zip ties. Have not moved an inch since putting them on...

Question? Hitec servo compare- mini vs micro

Yup. I really don't know of any other devices that will kill a glow engine. The throttle cut works as well or better than a normal spark ignition kill.

I absolutely agree with you. Was talking to Kelly @49dimes on the phone yesterday. We got to talking about the Kolm and the big Mustang. He told me in a manner of speaking, it would be so wrong to put any other engine on that plane other than the Kolm. I just don't know where I can scape up the...

    Sport 50CC AMR STICK THREAD

Personally, I think you did a great job. You sure you are not a professional and are just playing it off like you're not?

Just out of curiousity, who is the maker of that 260?

Question? Hitec servo compare- mini vs micro

Wow! Somehow I just knew it would be you Snoops that would call me out on that. LOL. Its all good. So, what I used to do with all my Saito engines was this. Actually all the glow (shudder) motors I had. And I "KNOW" you already know this. But since you asked. I set my radio to have a "Throttle"...

With so many projects still on the table, I doubt I will be starting this build in the next month. Maybe start getting things lined up. It is coming to the time of year we slow down at work so that will help to offer some extra build time. I will keep you all posted as I make progress and...

My understanding is the Fischer Mustang is no longer available. That is actually the one I had been looking at for quite some time.

Cool little plane.:way_to_go: Nice and floaty? But can it "HUCK"? LOL

Question? Hitec servo compare- mini vs micro

I fly no planes without a fully operational engine kill.

Engine selection for H9 Beaver 30cc

Good engine choice. The 35RA is an awesome motor too. And will also adapt to the electric start. Really interested in seeing how it performs. Don't forget about the video.

It doesn't really look all that rough. I have certainly seen worse flying. So, how about a photo of that awesome fuel tank? I would love to see it.

Umm, apparently no one told you that is "NOT" the way those planes are supposed to fly. LOL....way good stuff. I loved every minute of it. Great scenery too.

Definitely will be something I will be watching very closely. So far, the little Blue Nose seems a bit nose heavy. Umm, no? Really? LOL. That is ok. I like penetration. Draggin' butt is no good.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Ailerons servos are now in, control linkages connected and ailerons dialed in with triple rates and expo. I added the expo because I wanted to soften the deflection without affecting the total throw. Triple rates because I remembered this Mustang is very agile but can be lazily flown to poke...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

So I now have the flaps reconnect, set up and dialed in. I had to go back in to my radio and reprogram the channels. I had forgotten the flap servos will need to rotate opposite of each other for proper flap deployment. I guess I'll have to go back and reprogram the elevator channels. They too...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

After taking Little Mister to the puppy park and shampooing the plane room carpet, I figured I would start getting the servos installed into Marie's wing. Really nothing difficult there. Unscrew the hatch retaining screws and get busy installing the flap and aileron servos. When I first...
