    jeti DS 16 thread

OPenTX radios are very capable. The quality isn't always though. My flying buddy has a couple of Power Box Mercury Power Management boxes, what a pain to set up. I think David is considering PB as well.

Why, because they sound so nice in a scale airplane? No thanks, I had my fill of barking two strokes at Wally's Squadron.:agree-disagree:

As I think of it maybe the problem is the left cylinder is sealing better than the right and keeping the oil on the combustion side. Now that I have the plane trimmed, I'm flying it much longer so we shall see before the end of the season. The problem isn't too severe and the engine provides...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

The later, one side fires, the second fires 1 rev later. Not sure how the original ignition worked, the pickup was on the cam gear. I assume there are two magnets. When I sent it to CH Ignition for conversion, a magnet and hall sensor were installed on the crank nose. So it is working in a...

Does Futaba make a module for engine RPM? Wouldn't you be able to access the ignition through the door?

Keep in mind that the engine is lubricated via blow by. Oil from the gas lubricates the bottom end. The new plugs corrected the miss, flew five flights today without a cruising speed miss. I noticed the ring around the fouled plug was clean, I looked at the plug under the microscope and it...

What did you make with your lathe/mill today?

Looking for a Lathe/Mill project. While flying yesterday I decided to modify the gas cap on the Champ. When I made the cap didn't have a straight knurling tool so I used the diamond shaped tool.. Found a few on the web from Harfington. Never bought from them before. Bought 1mm and 1 1/2mm pith...

    jeti DS 16 thread

I was at a fly in last week.. My casual observation was that it seemed the most expensive aircraft were controlled by Jeti radio. I on the other hand is using FrSky!

Picked up a miss in the engine, seems to be getting worse as time goes on. Decided to check the plugs. It appears the left cylinder is getting more oil than the right. I know when I took the left cylinder head off there was plenty of oil in the cylinder after sitting for almost a year. Note...

Compensating for lack of right thrust. Four more flights today at the BAMS (Butler Area Modelers Society). The field is a north/south runway, tuff to fly in the morning. Got there at 1400 and the place was empty, four flights and left at 1600, called it Miller Time. Tomorrow I plan to fly at...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

Put two flights on the Champ at Wally's Squadron and went out this morning to my home field and put 6 flights on it. About 25% of the club is at Wally's so no one was there. I have been playing with throttle to elevator mix and have it dialed in now at 10%. A lot of the problems I experienced...

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

Here are a few select photos of what I thought were unique. The racer was a very nice build. The two green Edge 540's were RC Sky Wing, one had a 170 I believe the other had a DA 200, the pilots hammered them hard but the stayed together! Must be a great design. The Fly baby was beautiful as...

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

Home from Wally's Squadron today early, I had planned to leave around 6:00 pm today but it was windy and not much action. Put two flights on the Champ yesterday and hoped to do a few more today but the wind keep me grounded as well as many at the event , half the planes were in the trailer...

This is how I do it. The bars have flat surfaces on top and bottom.

Heading to "Wally's Squadron" annual fly in tomorrow morning. This will be my first visit, about 3 hour drive located in Summersville, WV. Until this year my family vacation plans interfered with attending. I understand it is well attended

What did you make with your lathe/mill today?

Can't tell for sure but it looks like you have a QCTP, if so why did you need to make the tool holder? I just put the boring bars right in the tool holder.
