IMAC Delro 2.5M Raven Build
Setting final incidence on the horizontal stab...I decided what I was going to do was make a few tube sleeves and use aluminum tube front and rear on the horizontal stabilizer. To do this I simply wrap the aluminum tube with a couple wraps of waxed paper, then lay up a few wraps of fiberglass...- Wacobipe

Actually I just did this and it wasn't so bad... I have 2 Robart incidence meters so I used one on the wing and one to help ID the second (unmarked) rod for the horizontal stab....the Robart incidence meter is marked to 1/2 degrees...so I just shot for in between 0 and +1/2...can't comment on my...- Wacobipe

I also got the K&S canister soft mount installed. In order to do so I needed to make a mounting plate...so I replaced a reinforcement rib supplied with the kit with a 1/4 carbon fiber/ply plate that provides support for the wing tube at the same time it provides a surface to mount the canister...- Wacobipe

Worked on a few things to update you on in the last couple days. I got the landing gear plate reinforcement ribs fitted and glued in place (it took a lot of grinding/filing/cutting to get them to fit properly...which was interesting since everything else on this plane seems to fit like a...- Wacobipe

For what it is worth I got confirmation direct from Delro earlier this week that the incidence angles are as follows: Prop shaft: 0 degrees Wings: 0 degrees Horizontal stabilizer: 0.225 degrees positive ( Germany uses Grad rather than degrees for,angles and it is state as .25 grad)- Wacobipe

@Jlc how did you or are you planning to mount your tail? My 2.5m has an aluminum main tube at the rear of the horizontal tube, but there is really nothing for the front to hold it in place. I think I'll make mine removable for ease of painting and service. Thanks!- Wacobipe

What do you know...I actually found time to work on the Raven a bit this evening! So I trimmed the slots in the spinner to clear the prop and wanted to share my process... I start with note cards and cut a single slot until I get the fit I like around the prop..this usually takes 3-4 cards to...- Wacobipe
