Agree....... once correctly tuned throttle response is fairly linear....... You will also find that your idle setting is going to change with heat and weather using that type of control rod. It expands and contracts a bit with weather changes and you will see it in the engine. Just add or...

These things are telling me. 1) In the shop I was cycling the servos ( after the incident flight ) and noticed that both elevator servos did not travel as smooth as the rudder or aileron servos (running BB BLS H50B's on all surfaces ) and where bouncing back and forth rapidly during travel up...

My thoughts as well too. I will also solder them in line and eliminate the connectors in the tail as well. Last time I flew my extra I had the right elevator servo "burp" and it forced the nose of the plane down. Nothing violent or sustained but it did bother me because if it had happened close...

I got a couple of the "Glitch Buster" capacitor's coming. Anyone know what's the best way to install them? I was thinking "y" one on each elevator servo for they have the longest extensions at 36".

It looks as if it has been flown a lot already. Is that the old engine setting off to the side? Are you putting a new cowl on? or going to repair the old one?

Looks good to me! :cautious:. But I have proven myself  "unworthy" when it comes to electric power systems o_O. I will say though.....When I first did my Pilot Extra 330sc 78" it was an electric. I was swinging a Falcon 20x8 CF electric prop on 12S and the 120 amp ESC would cutout at WOT...

It's just to miserably hot and humid. By the time early to mid evening rolls in (best time to fly a couple of times) so do the afternoon t-storms. For the past 3 weeks you can bank on it raining a bit in the afternoon spoiling what little chance I may have :(. @stangflyer the weather in Boise...

No argument here.......When I went to remove the exhaust chest on the Extra I had to tear and peel some of it off first. Then had to use a Exacto blade to shave the rest of the material off and then sand clean both airframe and canister stinger. The end result did turn out decent. And yes I did...

All I could find is some really small scrap pieces of ultra coat in red and white. Have some mono-kote but the missle red is not the same as ultra-coat's red. So I re-used the old covering and "scrapped" the areas where it fell short. Not the best covering look but it will have to do. I also...
