    Yeah. I think we compared notes on these last year in some other thread. Biela replaced two of mine.....spares now, although I really like how they perform.

    The wire trick works well. I use thick soldering wire.....easy to bend and it hold it's shape. once you get it wrapped around the prop at the location about where the spinner would be, lay the wire shape and as Taz did, trace around the OUTSIDE of the wire. this will give you some clearance...

    Good advice. Also, check the balance when you're finished. AND inspect it often prior to flight.

    HAR HAR HAR!!!!!!!! See those trees in the background? Well....so did I :confused:. Seriously, this thing flies great....off the ground in about 1 foot (without flaps into a stiff breeze). On the next flights with the test banner Bart wanted to loop it.....but I quickly talked some sense...

    I have yet to fly a plane, or speak with any pilots (precision style flying) that DON'T have some mixing in to cancel out these issues. Even a Carden will generally need something here or there. Can one fly without the mixes....sure! Is it a little easier to fly precision with them....in my...

    What Bunky says.....try some washers between your engine and firewall, if you can't move batts etc. Other than increasing the spinner gap a tad, it's the easiest way to get CG forward.
