And the video of me flying it later in the day on stock landing gear. Hopefully next time I will remember my camera when I go to fly it off the water.

Durafly tundra. You can get it at hobby king. Supposedly they have upgraded the quick connects for the wing servos but I would still rip them out and install you own extensions so the ailerons can be put on seperate channels. That way you can mix them into the flaps as well for full span flaps...

It is a fun plane. Flew it without the floats as well. Got a little video of both. Actually think the plane flys a little better with the floats.

It was 1/4” x 2” aluminum flat bar. I tapered it down to 1” at the wheels. 6061 I think but can’t remember.

Looks good but I hate to say that’s prolly not gonna be strong enough. .177 is around 3/16 which is good up to around a 20cc. On my 50cc I used 1/4” aluminum bar stock and even that will splay out on rough landings.

Took my twisted hobbies Velocity out in the yard for a couple of flights. Caught the wing tip in the tall weeds and sucked it in for a cartwheel. Ripped the motor off the front as well. No biggie though as it will be ready again in no time. Hit hard enough to seperate the case on the RX as well.

I promise you I am enjoying every bit that I can. It’s funny though five years ago if you had asked I would have said I wanted a boy and that girls kinda scared me. Then our niece and nephew lived with us for a while. The time I spent with them both was amazing but my niece at the time only...
