    Extreme Flight 104 Extra 300

I put a J&J tailwheel on mine. It is definitely an improvement. I did have to modify the existing carbon boom though.

    ARF shelf life?

Is the radio a 2.4 Ghz one or are you using the old frequency? If you are sill on the the old frequency, consider upgrading the radio before flying your Ultimate at least.

Is that a new model from Jeti?

SOLOSHOT2: Get The Perfect RC Video of Your Plane In Flight By Yourself!

I am not sure I would call it short range. It has a range of about 200o feet. My personal (non expert) guess is the interference with our radios probably depends on how much of the 2.4 band it is using.

SOLOSHOT2: Get The Perfect RC Video of Your Plane In Flight By Yourself!

It appears that this system uses the 2.4 band to transmit positional GPS data between the tag and the base. It is using the zigbee network technology.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I am a lot more careful with my 104. The smaller laser on the other hand, gets more abuse. My original 60" laser is also on the shelf for repair. I once took that airframe off with out my ailerons plugged in. Oops! I still can't believe I landed it safely. This summer I drove it into the corner...

    3D 1.8% EXTRA 300

You really should consider building a set of cored out foam core wings for that plane.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

The last week I have slowly been working on the landing gear of my brand new 60" Laser. I maddened it last week and lost power in a hover at the end of the runway. Opps! At least I was not afraid to push a new airframe. Broke the gear mounts and smashed in my brand new cowl with a really cool...

I have the power! ...or do I?

Yep, I forgot about the channel count. It's been awhile since I used my DX8 since upgrading to the 18.

I have the power! ...or do I?

The AR9020 would also work. It just does not allow you to connect two batteries. You could use the smartly with that.

I have the power! ...or do I?

Yes it would be redundant, and I think not even comparable. The powersafe rx is all you need.

I have the power! ...or do I?

Use the 7954, 7955 on the throttle as well. Do not put a cheaper servo there.

I have the power! ...or do I?

consider either the Hitec 7955 or one of the Savox servos in this range.

I have the power! ...or do I?

You don't need HV for the ignitions. In fact most are not designed to take it. The HV is for the servos and the extra amount of power that's needed on the control surfaces of 3D planes this big.

I have the power! ...or do I?

The power safe rx's with 3 sats are what I would recommend. Add two 3900 mah 2s lipo batteries and the Tech Aero IBEC for your ignition. Also if you are buying servos make sure all of them are HV. You might as well at this point. More torque, better speed, and simply.....better.

Scale Rebirth of the GP 1/4 Scale Patty Wagstaff

Your refurbished plane looks awesome. I definitely like the large watch graphics. I would also echo what others said. The off color works pretty darn good.

    Anyone Remeber/Have this tool -->

I am curious how it attaches to the plane.

I JUST GOT TO HAVE THAT!

How about an extremely accurate GPS and autopilot system that creates an effective hard deck and flying area. You draw your boundaries on a map on your tablet and set it to maintain a minimum elevation of say 10 feet and the plane would automatically correct any pilot incorrectly pointing the...
