Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

In our case it created an up down fight while slowing down to land. It could not find a comfort zone until it was almost stalling. It also had a bad pull to the left under full power that was unaffected by changing thrust angles. When we changed to a prop diameter one size smaller it helped...

Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

Try changing the prop. My brothers edge was overpowered thus having a large prop for the airframe and my theory was that it was blocking/ creating false lift on the elevator. Usually a 3 blade will stop that but it depends on the shape of your cowl. Yaks seem to be unaffected because of the...

We only have 2 seasons here. Winter and ....eh.....milder winter. We use 4 0z fuel tanks in or 35 percenters because really, your fingers are frozen after 3 ounces of flying.

I would think that regardless, one of those servos is still pushing. The pull pull probably has way less stress.

I am using the a9 radio. I have never had servo jitter and I have used hitec servos on every plane I have built. If this one was programmable I could probably adjust the dead bandwidth and widen it so it would'nt keep trying to center a springy control setup. Once I hold the rudder with my...

Soloshot anybody? Anyone, anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

You know, it wouldn't be so hard to shoot video of a plane if the moron manufacturers of cameras had not done away with the viewfinder. Looking at a lcd display in the sunlight is a pain in the president. They make a loupe viewfinder but they don't work that great. I wonder what frequency that...

So I am not going insane, this usually happens with this setup? I have never come across this with my other planes but none of them were this size.

    PAU Owners Thread

I put a single servo in the tail for rudder on my 36 edge and the darn thing keeps shaking. I think the titanium control linkage is too flexible for the size of the rudder. The servo is a hitec 8380 and is not programmable. Has anyone used a single servo successfully on this plane and what...

It was Texas Rc arf. It was only a 98 inch wingspan and I had it overpowered with a power 160 on 10 cell. It was also heavy at 17 lbs. Apparently came in slower than I should have because it was 200 yards out on a scale landing approach and it tip stalled. Thats the one advantage to gas, you...

You gotta give the aircraft credit too. PAU rocks! It's amazing that these airframes can handle what these guys dish out.

The gasoline smells sweeter on this forum...

Welcome c-c-carbon. We all love carbon fiber. Most of us lack fiber in our diet anyways and this helps offset that.....I think. Anyways, you will like it here. Most of the forum members are house trained and don't bite. Enjoy

    Adverse yaw.

I bet a lot of you did not know, "Adverse yaw" is also an affliction many Minnesotans suffer from with our accent's. This disease is easily spotted in the movie Fargo.

    VVRC 40cc Twin

The choke issue on mine was the most detrimental to quick starting. It is really tight at the almost closed position. Making sure that I pull a little harder really seals it and it starts super easy. I am not sure if the rest of the carbs have the same characteristic or not but it sure explained...
