    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

I am running a big nasty hitec on mine and it is really fast. Can't wait to try it out in the air.

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

Here is the plane. It flew great, it just needed a gas engine to haul that heavy airframe.

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

I actually have no problems using the hitec programmer. This 100cc plane is not the first dual servo aileron plane I have done. I had a lanier yak 54 that had a dual servo aileron setup and I had no problems getting those servos spot on with the a9. That plane was electric and I had enough...

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

My only gripe about the powerbox so far is that it did not come with power leads. They are a goofy multiplex 6 prong connector so you can't just pick them up anywhere. Does the smartfly use potentiometers for servo match?

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

I am installing the powerbox competition currently. How was the smartfly to program? This one is definitely a learning experience.

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

I can only set a couple of the servos at 1500 because like I said, the splines don't center the same. As far as subtrim, you cant subtrim servos individually when they are y'd. I notice on your setup, you don't use an optical kill for the ignition? I really like to have the option to shut that...

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

I tried a y harness on each of my elevator servos and intermittently one elevator servo would go to full deflection all on its own with no radio input!!!! Why would it do that? After that I figured the y with battery was a bad idea.

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

The servos don't seem to have the spine centered the same way on each servo. I programmed them so not a super big deal. Then I tried programming them to match with a y harness but when you hook them up to the radio, the radio has a different center than the programmer does. Then above all after...

    3D Harvest Huck - Sept. 17-20th

Hopefully I have my rig fine tuned and ready to flog and come down and see what all the hubbub is about.

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

I love my a9 but it just gets a little tricky with the bigger planes. The minute they come out with a bigger radio there will be a vapor trail from my house to the hobbyshop to pick it up. Two power input leads separate from the servo slots would really be awesome on the 9 channels for now.

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

I finally ordered a powerbox competition for my edge. It looked like the programming would be a little easier than smart fly and it has a built in display. Hopefully the powerbox jives with my a9.

    Quiet @NALL 2016 Part 2

Pay the neighbors off. They can go on vacation that week. Hundred dollar bills will turn that frown upside down. Lets start up a "Bribe the Nall Neighbors" fund on facebook. Just kidding....not really.

Plus 1 on the red hi temp silicone from the auto parts store. I sanded the exhaust surface first and flattened mine out. No leaks after many flights.

Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

'' abrupt arrival on the runway" I like that a lot. That is a sweet way of saying a guy just took out his landing gear. I may use that saying in the future.

Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

My brother had a foam with wood frame edge from hobbyking and we fought with that airframe to keep it on a level flight path. Finally we shimmed the motor and now it is one of the funnest planes we have flown. The thrust angle was way off. This problem was only when you had the throttle up high...
