The last two years a large white circus type tent with sides has been provided and most of the larger planes seem to end up there. I don't have anything that big so I'm not sure about the rules for using the tent.

    Castle Creations Talon 90

yes that is the risk i'm running. i am mounting the esc just beneath the firewall like in the build videos. it has a heat sink built in so i'm thinking it will be ok. i will put it on the watt meter and do some ground testing . the only thing i worry about is once the cowl is on it will be hard...

I can do either but I'm probably going to use the built in bec first. I just hate dealing with a second battery so I'm trying to avoid the 2s route

Service-Check up for Airboss Elite 80A?

one of my favorite things to do if i'm wondering about an esc, (after i resolder the bullet connectors and battery connector, check it with a programming card if available and inspect it visually) is to put it on a large foamie and fly a bunch of packs with it . if it passes that test then i'm...

lipo charging question 4.15 or 4.20 for max charge?

hey guys, i recently got a new charger and noticed the factory default for max charge was 4.15 volts per cell and when i asked around some folks seem to think this is "better" on the life of a lipo battery. i've always charged to 4.2 volts per cell for max charge and now store my lipos at 3.8...

Discussion Extreme Flight Aircraft power systems discussion

thanks for the link. i may just buy another paraboard with build in ec5. i'm going to probably get about four batteries for the 60 inch so that will probably work out just fine.

Discussion Extreme Flight Aircraft power systems discussion

I know you are right. Just hate dealing with different size connectors for charging. I'll get some ec5 connectors and sleep better at night knowing I'm not pushing the limits. I melted some ec3 connectors on a hexacopter once! Kt

I'm getting one of the 60 inch extreme flight electrics soon and plan o. Running their power combo on six cell but I use ec3 connectors on all my other setups. Anyone using ec3s on this power combo or should I move up to ec5?

Put a face to that name!

I still can't believe my wife actually said "let's get family photos done at the RC airfield this year with evan's new airplane". I think she knew it was the only way to get me to agree to a family photo session!

Official Review of the TwisedHobbys Mini Crack Yak

we are having a blast with our mini. lots of fun in a small package. i really don't see the need to own anything smaller than this. great size but still large enough to fix without the pain of fixing some of the smaller micro foamies!
