    Prop database.

I know how easy data get's out of control:) Even cans/muffler and tuned pipe being separated into two categories would be great. The cans/mufflers should like the same props. I get the idea this is intended to compare props more than engines or pipes? You're aggregating the data rather than...

    Prop database.

What about an input for exhaust? Some engine/pipe combos give a huge increase in torque/rpm to the point a decent prop on one exhaust is under/overproped on another setup.

    3D EMHW 2.15 Ultimate

I really wanted it done by huckfest, we'll see. Need to do a few things before I can arrange painting. Working on getting the tailfeathers finished up/ready to cover. Picked up some .055 music wire/spring steel for the hinges. I rough sand the bevels than finish with a 45 degree board...

    Scale Pilot RC 32% Decathlon

After all the innocuous stuff they've confiscated from me I can't believe they let you carry on a big carbon prop. Looking good!

    Glassing and Painting techniques

That seem looks non-existent. I'm just finishing sanding my canopy frame so this is all perfect timing before I attempt to glass and install the canopy.

You should. It works so much better than balsa filler. It goes on much easier, sands finer, shrinks less, produces less dust, it sands away at a closer rate with balsa, is strong enough to hold fine over big gaps and is $6 a gallon. Thanks Jetpainter! On to the Zur Fertigstellung... I have...

    3D EMHW 2.15 Ultimate

Anyone have any suggestions for a good spackle? I've been using Hobbylite filler and while it works well for pinholes and really small gaps it tends to shrink and doesn't work well for more substantial gaps. There's some work to be done blending the rear turtle deck sheeting and I don't...

Did the hinging for the tailfeathers. They supply nice Kavan flat hinges. The hinges have 1.4mm nails through them, but these can be replaced with #24 piano wire/spring steel to make everything removable. As the tailfeathers are built by sandwhiching ply between balsa, digging slots out...

Thanks guys! I'm just fumbling through it, but it really started looking sweet once the sheeting went on and test fit the cowl...getting excited to finish the top half of the fuse and get the wings made!!

Here's some pictures of the forward sheeting going together. I used Windex and it worked really well. Next time I'll square up the edges of the sheets and glue them all together before gluing them to the plane. There's a few spots where the joint started coming apart and I had some fairly...

Awesome "Trailer Plane" the Multiplex - Rockstar

I learned how to fly mostly on their Acromaster. Great flying little plane. Nice to see they have a good motor mount. The Acromaster needed one fabricated...

Haha, that's how I felt trying to find a picture...I "think" this is it.. It's got some nice lines. I see what you mean about the Extra influence. It does look like it would fly well.

That's really cool, think I found a picture..looks like it would fly really nice. Would you fabricate all your own parts or have a kit cutter cut them?

^Awesome! What planes are you looking at? They've got a challenger that looks cool with a really fat fuse. Not too many companies making biplane kits, but EMHW has quite a few models.

Got some carbon fiber wing tubes in. Nothing wrong with the aluminum in the kit, but they're only 16mm tubes so carbon is cheap. I should have measured the the aluminum more carefully because the tubes I bought are much thicker material and feel about the same weight. They are super stiff...

    3D EMHW 2.15 Ultimate

It would save a bit of weight, especially if the engine had a smaller mounting pattern. It would definitely be stronger to taper down to a smaller firewall. For the additional work involved it's pretty much something you'd do for fun, although I think I could do it much faster a second time...
