The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Weather permitting we fly every Sunday. No noise restrictions at either field. I was running std. exhaust on my DA170 a few months back and my daughter could hear it from the parking lot of the law firm she works for. It's on 6th St. downtown.:fist_pump:

    Airtronics Users

I have those on my Futaba TX. As a thumb flyer, I guarantee they will never slip on you but they might draw blood!

Well, there you go. Fly all morning at Henderson then grab a burger on your way to the FARM club to fly until dark. We have a nice field in Pine Bluff but unless you're used to it the trees can be intimidating.

    glow pilot

I have a .40 size WM L.A.Racer with a OS46AX with Macs pipe that is just a ball of fun to fly. Unfortunately my jug of glow fuel is now three years old and Lord only knows if my glow starter even works any more. Every time I would take it out I would swear I was going to fly it more. Full power...

    Wing Bags???

I've used both the Hobby-Pak and WingTote. For larger wings I prefer the WingTotes because they are stiffer and allow you to lean them upright to put the wings in. The Hobby-Paks just about have to be laid flat on the ground plus the wing tube is inside the bag under the wings with only a little...

Good for you going to judging school. Not only will it make you a better judge, but a better sequence flyer too. Tell Doug to quit being so damn serious.

That just went to the top of my ordering list. What type of connectors for the charger side and the battery side?

    Servo Arms

The first H9 arms had design defects that allowed them to fail. The V2 arms do not.

Welcome to Tail Dragger Rc's support forum!

Shout out to TDRC for helping sponsor the Shreveport SHARKS club's first IMAC contest. It's good to see someone I support supporting something I like to do.

Multiplex plugs - What's the consensus?

I ordered some from Taildragger when he first offered them. Best thing since pockets on a shirt.

    Viton clunk line

The blue line from Taildragger is the Chinese line I mentioned. Tygon is fine but it stiffens much quicker than the Chinese stuff.

    Viton clunk line

I have also found that the "cheap, Chinese" fuel line keeps it's elasticity much longer than the genuine Tygon fuel tubing. I still only use Viton for the clunk line, but everything else is the Chinese stuff.

Futaba 14SG vs Graupner 24-MZ? Help!

You can't go wrong with a brand you know and trust. Especially if you need support.

Sick of LiPo's, Making batteries from soda bottles!!

Easier to see if the Anode is stiff and not drawing a good supply of Amps.

The how do you setup your IMAC radio thread

It really depends a lot on the plane, especially mixing. For example my plane does best with a few points of right rudder at full throttle and a point of down elevator at idle for down lines. The down elevator mix is turned off by the same switch that puts the engine at a low idle for landing...
