Does the POTUS know about this? Most likely. Does he care? Probably not. There's only 24 hours in a day, even if you live in the White House. Prop Rip
Falcon CF 27x11 was very silent on my DLE120. No rip, but lots of power. Also seemed to give more than enough airflow over the surfaces. No problem controlling in harriers and hovers. In theory, larger diameter and less pitch should make the ripping WORSE, not better.- njswede

Prop Bolt Torque
I tighten them "firmly but not too hard" with an Allen key. It's worked so far. I wonder how much torque that translates to... :)- njswede

Most of the "premium" stuff is made in China anyway. DA is the only exception I can think of. The combination of cheap Chinese products and a local dealer who stands behind their product is key. Roto Flow fuel tank
I've had a Rotoflow tank in my 3DHS 72" Extra for two seasons now without any issues. No leaks so far. It's hard to say if it's thanks to the tank, but this plane has never ever coughed after e.g. spins and poptops. All my other planes tend to occasionally do a couple of coughs and pops once...- njswede

Prop Rip
Propellers rip because the tips move faster than the speed on sound. In general, a bigger diameter prop is more likely to cause rip. It's fairly easy to calculate the RPM at which a certain prop will rip. rpm = 255780 / diameter in inches So a 27" inch prop will rip at 9473 RPM (way above the...- njswede

Booma RC Intellimatch servo matching
@thurmma Did you check that the servo moves freely and doesn't bind somewhere along the curve? I think the device works by measuring the current, so it it finds a spot where the servo binds a little and draws more current, it may think that's a mechanical end point. This is a dumb question, but...- njswede

Booma RC Intellimatch servo matching
FWIW, I just maidened my 3DHS 104" Slick with an Intellimatch IM22 on it and it worked beautifully. The setup is dead simple. Plug it in, push a button and it does the rest itself. Very minimal buzzing across the entire range. I have dual Savox 1270TG on the ailerons, so a single IM22 took care...- njswede

Actually, I think I'm going to hit Bart up for a lesson on how to land a giant scaler. I don't think it's normal that my 104" Slick needs a quarter mile of runway. Bart, you live like a couple of miles from one of my fields, I think.- njswede
