    DLE 120 temperature alarm

Here's an easy one for you: What should I set my temperature alarm to? DLE 120, standard muffler, 40:1 Stihl Ultra HP, gas station gas.

    2-stroke oil,what works,what doesn't

Very simple: If Stihl Ultra HP is good enough for landscapers who run their wackers and blowers 8 hours a day non stop, it's good for my planes that maybe get a few hours of runtime every year. I'm a noob, so I have soooo many other things to worry about. 40:1 is what I use. Now rip this noob to...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

The throttle endpoints are now calibrated and I richened the high end a bit to get rid of some RPM sag on WOT. That calls for celebration, which in my case means that I'm on my second Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA now. More to come!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Today: Changed throttle servo (Spektrum out, Savox 1272 in) in my 104" Slick. Installed telemetry and rerouted some wiring (same plane). Now I'm going to start her up to recalibrate the throttle end points before it gets dark. Then it's off to the beer fridge!

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

Hi fellow addicts! Is there anyone out there who happens to have a set of canister mounts for a 104" Slick in you junk box and would feel like mailing them to me for a small reward?

AMA's Rich Hanson and Dave Mathewson Drone Q&A

Yeah, I really liked how they handled this one. Straight talk about the issues, but without crying wolf and adding to the panic. Great job, Dave and Rich!

    New to giant scale

Haha! That reminds me of something that happened to me a while ago. While my kids were playing in a park, I saw two guys who were trying to launch a Bixler or similar powered foamy gilder. Since I noticed they seemed a bit, eh, inexperienced, I approached them and was about to offer my help...

    New to giant scale

I'll answer my own question: Here's a video of a Turnigy 52cc (doesn't say in the description, but he's got other videos saying he's got a TGY in it). Listen to it seizing! :)

    New to giant scale

All joking aside, I've always wondered about that Turnigy 52cc. Does it even run? Has anyone tried it? (No, I'm not in the market for a Turnigy)

    New to giant scale

Just make sure you're running all the power through the receiver and feed it through a single servo cable and you should be fine. Also, since the throttle servo doesn't have any real load on it, you can go with a little HXT500 5g servo for that and you'll save a couple of dollars.

3D Hobby Shop 108 Extra vs the 104 AJ Slick

I can echo what the previous poster said. I have a 104" Slick and it's got an amazing stall transition. Or, should I say, no stall transition. It just settles into post-stall without as much as a little shiver. Also, the shorter fuse makes it a little less suited for precision and a little...

Your Opinion-This is not a "Which radio is best" thread!!!

Spektrum DX8. Zero problems so far, but having stepped into the 100cc-world, I'm going to have to upgrade. Most likely a DX18.

The FAA just "went there" NOT GOOD. ALL RC Aircraft = REAL AIRCRAFT

FWIW, the AMA guys are doing an amazing job on the webcast right now by calmly addressing some very real concerns, while trying to stem any panic within the modeling community.
