    This isn't exactly true. The singles actually have higher torque then the twins. Just ask the folks at DA, the DA170 versus DA200 (4 pot), the DA170 will spin a larger prop then the DA200. But your right, the twins are definitely sweeter, better spool up and run with much less vibration.

    Ouch.... I hope that was dumb thumb error and not equipment failure. Dumb thumb is something we can live with, equipment failure just plain sux.. Put my 91" extra in a few weeks ago after a Futaba radio failsafe occured a few feet in front of me doing slow rolls. Luckily minimal damage...

    Glad you like it. Love the DA70 on this plane, I flew it in the Aus IMAC champs this weekend and took out the basic 1st place. Biggest challenge is keeping it on low rates..... that DA70 just wants to scream (in a good way). Found out that the IMAc guys don't appreciate when you over...

    Nice. Did you run her up to full throttle? Just curious if she can breath properly without an opening in font of cowl. Mine needed and extra opening to reach peak rpm.

    It fits, but you need to cut a plug relief on the left hand side. Needs 20mm standoffs as well.

    Sweet. I did find I had to replace the standard cable after a few flights due to stretching. I went with the 0.8mm secraft cable and all is good after many, many flights.

    That pull pull wire routing through the secraft turn buckle still doesn't look right. Are you sure both the inwards and outwards ends of the wire go through the crimp tube? They both have to go through otherwise it will pull free under flight loads.

    I've also tried the Mej 24x10TH on this setup and maxed out at 6750rpm. Vess carbon 24B bumped it up a bit then the wood Vess is like ... WOW. But thats 24B not 25A or B. If the larger vess wood can spin at least 6800rpm it should be pretty impressive I think, depending on how it spools up etc...

    DA60/RE2 on 91" extra. Vess carbon 24B maxed out at 6900rpm. Vess wood 24B at 7150rpm. Whole new lease of life. Looking forward to trying a vess wood 25A or 25B in the future.

    You may want to put the lock nut on those Secraft cable tensioners. They do serve the purpose of stoping the red bit unscrewing once you have the vibration from the engine running through the airframe.

    Well done dude. What was the selling pitch? Only flown on Sundays and never hovered. I'm loving the edge and the DA70 is awesome. Spinning the carbon vess 24B at 7100 rpm now after 15 flights. Frecken insanity. Thinking of pulling the DA60 and pipe from the 91" to sell off and get...

    Only place for the carbon Vess is direct from Vess in the USA. No stocking out these parts. I'd love a 25B vess carbon for the da70 but no such luck on that front.

    So you selling a bunch of spare motors and servos to get into the DA120/104" setup mate? Probably about time to standardise? Get something that fits between those damn power lines on your right!
