Maybe, but I'm 1/4 turn leaner than the manual says and still rich. The 60 on pipe didn't spew that much black oil. Maybe she can go a lot leaner and still be safe?

Piss it off and go the drop muffler then. The DA70 is very gradual pickup as the throttle is advanced. there's no great rush to contend with for 3D flying. She is an oily bugger though. Took me 45 minutes last night after three flights to clean all the black crap off the airframe. Black...

But ain't your 88" just on straight DA60, no pipe? If it hovering almost on idle you must have your throttle links out of wack or something? even on the pipe, my 91" doesn't hover at one click off idle. But it does take some throttle jockying to stabilise a hover. But then again, so do my...

I went with the FUTABA bls157 all round on my 91" and they are amazingly solid, strong and fast. I've seen guys flying the 104 on da120 and the power was much better then the da60/re2 on my 91" from my opinion. Just looking at punch out from hover the da120 seems double the performance of th...

Depends on power input buddy. The 104" on Da120 is awesome, but the 91" is just as awesome but needs better power. I recon the 91" on DA70 would be every bit as capable as the 104" on DA120. Both will need serious servos though dude. Something greater then 30kg torque on each servo and...

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Not sure what you mean Gary. Is that something they glue to the inside of the cowl? I looked at a lot of photos tonight of the 104" extra with DA120 on mufflers and it already has a carby hole pre cut in the front of the cowl. They tend to cut openings like I did for the DA70 for exit...

I think so. See pics. But no hole for the carby.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

No problem Bro. I went with secraft 20mm standoffs and it's sweet. I did run into a drama today on maiden. Was getting 6650 rpm peak in the backyard when I shot that video, with the cowl off. Today at the field I could only get 6100rpm and she sounded sick. Took the cowl off and...

    3DHS 120" Extra LX

Can't carry one without a trailer or changing over to a van which I cannot do. I'd love to see the IMAC guys face with a DA200 on drop muffs tearing around the sky!!! They'd, without a doubt have kittens!!

Just plain wicked flying Joe. Great sounding motor. Is that the DA170 or the DA200? Just sounds plain wicked.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Gary, what size swb arms did you end up using on the elevator on the Edge EXP? I have the swb 2" but wondering if I need all that throw, or maybe come in one hole which is about 1.75" I think.

Maidened my 3rd 60" extra EXP today. My god how do I love the smooth flying nature of the EF extra300. I deliberately went one hole less on the elevator servo arm this time, still get massive throws but she just seems much more stable and refined then extra #2 that I decked a few months ago...

hey Feral, does your 88" have the bigger stabs on like what Gyro has in the photos below?? From the previous pictures yours looked like they were the original stab sizes?

    Extreme Flight 104 Extra

My mistake then. A moving 104" doing a half cuban will indeed be a pretty hard target to hit. That guy must have been a pretty decent pilot to take out the 104" with the foam glider!! Gotta watch those gun committee member pilots when they get their hands on powered gliders! HA ...

Thaks Gary, are they round bottles (the 20oz) smart water bottles? I can find that size here in round but not in the square shape like fiji bottles.

Sweet. I like that 3drcF logo on the canopy nose section of the 300 SHP. Very nice. What size tank do you run in the 87" on that EME60? I've got 32oz in my 91" extra and thinking about dropping back to something smaller.
