I received the new prop today but Rich said I might have an issue with ground clearance when up on the mains. On all 3 wheels I have 6-1/2" of clearance. Will be a while before I know if this will be a problem.

    Welcome JTEC Radiowave

Thanks Kevin. I would rather not glue them permanently so I could perhaps re-use at a later date.

    Welcome JTEC Radiowave

I have a quick question regarding the plywood engine standoffs for a DA100. I am using a total of 5 separate pieces for my Taylorcraft and am wondering if I should glue them together ? Thanks guys, IMHO, their is no better customer service than JTEC provides.

Ok kork.....got a question for you. Did you find it necessary to do a lot of filling and sanding around the doors to get it smooth and level ? Thinking maybe I did something wrong when I glued the side plywood formers in place because I am spending a lot of time trying to get it to look right.

Thanks Kork. I have made a nuisance of myself with all of the above and I am sure I will continue to have more questions. I am really enjoying the challenge of this build. Probably taking longer than it should but I am committed to doing it right.

Oh man......I wish I would have seen that prop before I spent $115 on the 3 blade Biela. Might have to list the Biela in the classifieds so I can order the Civilian prop.

I will be using a DA-100 with a 23 x 12 3 blade prop. Most who have built and flown this airframe have used 100cc engines and are very happy with the results. As I said in my initial post, this is by far the most challenging project I have ever attempted. No directions, just the plans and plenty...

    Scale JTEC 1/3 Scale Taylorcraft

Spent the better part of this summer buying the plans, wood, engine, landing gear, cowl, etc. for this project. Plans were purchased from Rich Barch and a short kit from JTEC Radiowave. Changed my workshop over to "build mode" a couple of weeks ago and have made some progress on the fuse. This...
