IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

@-Rick- I was the same way at my first contest. The nerves settled down on subsequent contests. It is a very addicting segment of the hobby and a blast to be involved with. Great people and you never stop learning. If you really want to get the inside scoop, go to a judging school! What an eye...

IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

If you can video it and then post to some of the forums with active IMAC fliers you could get some useful insight and tips I am sure.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Went out flying today in 37 degree temps with an 8 to 12 mph wind from the north. It was cold but, I had to try out a 30x13W Falcon prop on the 330. It pulls like a banshee but, still rips way to easy. I would like to try a Mejzlik 30x13 before looking at different options. Don't want to spend...

Tips for Attaching Sensors to Engine Cooling Fins

Could you just put a piece of heat shrink over the cable and then synch it down to the head where you want it and shrink the tubing? I think that would hold it in place.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

After I got the 330LX I had to remove some stickers from the wings and it had tore the black off part of this wing so, last night I decided to replace that piece. Now both wings match again :) I know the curves aren't perfect but, in the air, who will know :) It looks a lot better then when it...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I know that feeling :) Want a Jeti DS-14 but, have to wait until I can sell some stuff or the mowing and umpiring season get here so I can replenish the hobby fund. My "new to me" 330LX, DLE170 and RE3's pretty much tapped that account and then some!

Sad to say but, I used my rudder very little UNTIL I started flying IMAC. Now I am VERY familiar with the rudder and glad I setup the servos I did for it :)

    330LX Help

I have relocated the 2 5000mah batteries so they are as close to the top of the fuselage as they can be for where the plane balances. Will be a week or two before I have time to test the theory.

    330LX Help

Sounds like you are a bit tail heavy. I prefer them to continue on the line with maybe a very slight drop to the canopy.

    330LX Help

It does it no matter what attitude the plane is in, but I notice it more in knife edge flight because there is more rudder input than just normal course corrections. If I do a little stronger course or wind correction with the rudder I am also having to add up elevator to keep the line level...

    330LX Help

It will stay true to the 45 upline as long as I will let it run.

    330LX Help

The same with both left and right rudder. The stab is pretty much inline with the wings, it is the factory position. The batteries are above the horizontal center, but I could orient them differently so they would offset the pipes more. Thanks for this, never gave that a thought :)

    330LX Help

Hey Everyone, I am trying to figure out why my 330LX is pulling hard to the gear anytime the rudder is deflected more than just minimal deflection. I would rather find out how to alleviate it without adding a mix if that is at all possible. CG is dead neutral. When I pull to a 45 and roll...
