I run an 18 X 6 on the 23 in the 1/4 N28, turns it right at 7 grand. It's well broken in with over 25 hours of operation. Of course these industrial conversions that the Zen engines are really run best after about 50 hours. Properly lubricated and cooled I don't think you can wear one out lol Doc

You may be right about the DLE 20 being stronger than an old G23. I have a G23 on a 1/4 N28 (you may start to get the idea I like the N28 about here) that weighs 16.5 lb and it's got plenty to fly good and will loop from level but just. The 1/3 N28 with the DA 100 does anything including...

That's right at 1/6 scale, 20cc might be a lot, that would prolly fly well on a 65 or 71 four stroke. I have a 1/6 scale N28 framed up that I built VERY light and will fly it with an OS 40 Surpass 4 stroke, it'll only weigh about 4 1/2 lbs, its also 53" span. Doc

By all means get into a WWI build, a word of advice, WWI models are a lot like potato chips, it's hard to have only one. I have a 1/4 scale SE 5a and it requires more power that one would suspect to fly well. A well broken in G38 or G 45 is nice depending on the amount of detail added. Mine...

Sport Cappy cuts/builds an old school Ultra Hots with a few mods.

I didn't mention it but I have the 40 size plan also, on one sheet and incredibly small (the plan), and the model isn't real big. I'm old school and cant get my head wrapped around electric. "electrickery is the work of the devil, real model airplanes are powered by I.C. engines"

Have you weighed what you got there yet? I'm curious what it comes to. I have a set of Big Hots plans I've had for a long time (the 90s), a couple of guys in the club flew them and had G62s on em, they were pretty impressive at the time. No one was doing 3D then so the surfaces weren't as big...
