Here is the start of the aileron. The hinge pin will be a 4-40 bolt shaft with a little thread left for the bolt. The hinge will slide in and out of the wing while I build it. Once the wing and aileron is done I will add the bolt into the blind-nut which holds the hinge in through a small hatch...

Well I got the wing saddles made and flipped her over. What is really cool to me is how I got the glue between the rib and skin. This wing is one of the coolest things I have built. It also makes me really want to get my 150" mossi started. DAG

What a great weekend. Got the shower door fixed, got our outside fence hinges re-aligned, and a ton done on my wing!!!!! The leading edge laminated balsa was a pain. DAG

Got a bit done this week. CF went on perfect! Wing alignment post went in perfect!! Sheeting, while very slow has started perfect!!! If all goes well I will have the bottom sheeted this weekend. I can then finish the hinges, build the aileron, and then start sheeting the top. DAG

Its hard to see, but the spar is made up of two pieces of balsa that will have CF laminated on the bottom of it. This is just test fitting. I hope to start gluing this weekend. DAG:):):):):)

Thanks, Right now I just have a Hacker A100 and a castle HV160. The motor has 265 flights, the ESC about 175 as Castle upgraded it when they were having all the meltdowns. I have very small funds right now so I just keep switching my A100/Castle between between my big planes. At SEFF I will...

Thanks all, This project started because I was frustrated with my B36 project. This plane went together really fast, but I made a mistake in my spread sheet with weight. I had blinders on I guess. AS I kept adding all the system it looked like I was going to hit my target weight of 53 pounds...
