Toledo Show - Times they are a changing....

There was steady emails to those that put their names on the preorder list. I do not know how vendors that sold it were told about it but those that did preorder at vendors were informed also to the best of my knowledge. If I remember correctly the Futaba 18MZ was preannounced almost a year in...

Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

I purchased a bunch of JRMP83T servo's and their amp draw is considerably lower than the previous 8911's. This was all measured with an amp meter. Could not believe the difference. Many users are claiming up to 50% less MAH usage for the same flight/sequence over the standard HV coreless servo's...

Toledo Show - Times they are a changing....

Aeroworks to my understanding did book space at first but they had issues with getting new stock of aircraft. They did receive their planes but I was told they were working on back orders. I expect to see them next year. I have not seen EF in a long time at the show and 3DHS has not been there...

Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

If you are getting Fromeco regs give them a call and ask for the regs that you can use your fail safe switch on. That way you just turn off the regs and not just the receiver. Make sure measure the voltage coming out as they need to be exact or else you may pull battery power from 1 reg/battery...

    JR xbus

If you really want to switch over to DMSS (I highly recommend) selling your DSMX/2 receivers is usually pretty easy. When I made the switch my receivers sold like hotcakes. It took me a few months to totally switch also as I moved planes over. I like the programming of the XG11 a lot but the...

Stihl HP Ultra Giveaway Contest! Reza made me do it.

You can't go wrong with either. If you buy stihl equipment and use their oil the warranty is extended for a few extra years. Remember their stuff works way harder than ours.

I believe the XG11MV has the same programming as the other XG11 radios. It does have servo balancing. I believe you get the module for DSM2 from Horizon. http://www.horizonhobby.com/dsm2-airmod-with-ar7010-jr-compatible-spmmsjr720

    JR xbus

At minimum you will need the Xbus converters if you run non Xbus servos. http://www.jramericas.com/xbus/ When you start out with a 6 channel transmitter you do not have the programming power of the bigger radios. The bigger radios have larger screens and as you get into the higher price ranges...

    JR xbus

All XG series radios have Xbus. Even the XG6 http://www.jramericas.com/234694/JRP006191/?pcat=2 has Xbus. So you can fly a 40% with the 6 channel radio. To do this you use Xbus on the ailerons and program 4 servo's on the aileron channel. Elevator you program 2 servos for your elevators, and the...

    JR xbus

Yes, you can run just about any setup using any Xbus reciever. But you need to be using Xbus to do so.

    JR xbus

I think it may be easier if you had specific programming in mind to try and reference off of. I have the XG11 and the programming is vast. I believe you can have 8 flight mode by programming different rates and they can be activated via a switch or based on stick positions. You can program Xbus...

    Hangar 9 3.1M Sukhoi

I have been thinking of changing up my landing gear to something a little lighter. I like the weight of carbon fiber but never really been a big fan as on crack could put you out of flying for a contest. And to me they are a little to stiff. So decided to call up Tom at TNTLanding gear and have...
