Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

The wicked Pilot Edge came home in one piece today. I swear, that plane wears me out. It is so snappy, so quick and so darned fun to fly. I had to take "aomn" (an old man nap...LOL) when I got home. All this talk of rollers and harriers and hovering and.... well, I just couldn't resist. I tried...

    Moki 250cc 40% Sukhoi SU-31

You're a funny guy there Snoops. I really do appreciate the offer, however I do quite fine spending money by myself. I just laid down $1,000 for that new radio system. Ugh. But I really wanted it so yeah. I highly doubt I will be changing my warbird selection. I have been wanting to do this big...

Brrr.... just a tad on the cool side this morning. But I'm now on vacation. Just not going to waste any day light. Taking the red headed beast Edge out for a date. I'm going flying!

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

For me the way that I enter them is I will slow my plane down to just above a stall and then I will start pulling back on the elevator to push the tail down and bring the nose up. Once I have a close angle of attack, I will push left aileron to begin the plane rolling left. As the wings come...

Remember throttle management has a lot to do with angle of attack as well. Getting the right balance between the throttle aileron elevator and Rudder will make rolling harriers so much easier.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

It is definately small, but still packs a punch. Yes, the cap is much smaller too. Kind of a cool little gasser really.

    Moki 250cc 40% Sukhoi SU-31

I simply must agree! I love my dubs, but I don't think you really live until you've had a Moki radial powered plane.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Well heck, wish I had known. But I don't plan on getting rid of this little guy any time soon. I like to keep extras on hand. If you want to sell them, I'll take them. Both!!! Thanks bro.

So very true. There are some days I go out with an intention to try some things I have mastered quite well on the flight sim at home. Oh yeah, those inverted harriers and torque rolls look so sweet and just micro inches from the ground. When I get to the field however, it's like, Uh...umm, ah...

    News Sign the Petition 336

But you did it. And that is what matters. I think I was 2236 or something like that. So we're making progress in a short time. I posted this on FB also. Maybe we can get it to go viral.

Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

Ummm….. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you built two sides exactly the same way. Are they left sides or right sides? Ooooh, I get it now....whew, had me worried for a minute. Sorry, I couldn't resist Bart. Looks great!!

    An Oldie But A Goodie

Quit stalling. Only 3D planes are allowed to do that. Hee hee….. keep us posted my friend.

So yeah, nice photography. Great slow mo's. Superb pilot and absolutely stunning Suk! But did anyone else catch this bastards pure stroke of luck? Or maybe he is just that good. At 2:51 he flies right through the trees. NIIIIICE!!! Makes me want to run right out and buy a Moki for my Suk.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Post man brought me a new spark plug for the little 10cc trainer. I have to chuckle at the size of this thing. It's hard to imagine this lil guy does as good of a job as his big brother cm6 plug does. Which so happens that his daddy sized plugs we put in our cars have nothing over on him...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Definitely good stuff for sure. You just can't beat people like Supa Tim! I also like my props drilled at 2. Some people prefer 12. However I have to honestly say, I have never worried about the position in which I drill my back plates. Does drilling your back plate at 2 make it easier to start...
