    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

That simply isn't true. I had a 78" Extra with a DLE-30. It's what I had laying around, the plane could have really used a bit more motor, but I was able to hover, and pull out and do all the tricks with it. It came in at 12.25 lbs I believe it was. I also had a 76" MXS, with a DA-35. Otherwise...

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

I've seen this too. I have quit worrying about subtrim to get the arm perfect. I put it on as close to center as possible, adjust linkages to get surface in center, and then adjust endpoints to get equal throw and go fly.

    Sugesstions for a 60" EF 3D plane

That I couldn't say, have never flown it. All of the Yak 54's I have had in the past had lots of wing rock in a harrier, though I've read that the new EF one is solid there. Yak's are typically very good at rolling moves.

awesome Gary, thanks! Must go order a couple of spares right now. :)

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I love the ones on the 3dhs website. They are the best I've ever used. Easy to remove. http://www.3dhobbyshop.com/JEModel-Fuel-Filler-Dot_p_16036.html not always easy to catch in stock though. Wish I could find someone else that sells them.

    Geometry and Elevator throw error

Just curious why you are using a matchbox with your 9303? You can plug them both directly into the rx, and use the Mate function in the device select menu instead to mate the 2nd elevator channel to the elevator channel. I've never used a matchbox on my 9303 or 9503, just used the mate function....

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I used 3mm ones, as I posted two posts above yours. They worked perfect.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I used secraft turnbuckles from aztech aeromodels. 3mm x 90mm long.

    3DHS 87" Extra 300 SHP

If you look on Joe Smith's facebook page he gives an explanation of why he is leaving. Saw a couple of comments from others in other forums that said he was tired of some of the drama too. Not sure what that drama is though.

    Elevator set up

It's the other direction you have to worry about, up elevator, not down on that plane. The problem is that the pushrod and servo arm almost get to a straight line, and if the servo gets pushed a tiny bit further the linkage sort of 'flops over' to the other side of the servo arm and then you...

    3DHS 87" Extra 300 SHP

No, that bent prop shaft on the EME60 shook the plane half to death. Every 3 flights I had to repair something. Once I got the prop shaft replaced I replaced the left stab (servo would constantly vibrate loose), and it still kept vibrating loose. It was either replace the whole motor, or sell...

    3DHS 87" Extra 300 SHP

    Mine was 18.5 dry. That was with 2 2s1800 li-fe batteries, eme60, tech-aero ibec, and 7955's. Was actually Gyro's old plane :)

Swapping radio systems - few questions...

From here: https://www.smart-fly.com/Products/BatShare/batshare.htm I was speaking specifically of the bat-share device. Which has at least a .5 volt drop on inputs.  I don't know if I'm all that interested in the smart fly boards, they look a bit messy, though they would get it done...

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

Take a look at this thread, has a different wheel collar clamp that seems to work better. My next gas plane will be getting them. http://giantscalenews.com/sp-forum/rc-general-discussions/wheel-collar-attachment/

Swapping radio systems - few questions...

I've had several lipos where one cell fails. I definitely want the isolation function of the two batteries. Don't want to just plug both in parallel style. The smart fly boards isolate batteries, and the spektrum and JR powersafe rx's all do it for a reason I figure. Just makes good sense in my...

Swapping radio systems - few questions...

I was leaning towards the XG11 radio, but not sure why the XG14 is cheaper. Need to do some research there. I like the JR lineup as they seem to have stuck with the powersafe type rx's, like this one: http://www.jramericas.com/233813/JRPR03428/?pcat=473 dual inputs, battery isolation and...

Swapping radio systems - few questions...

I'm swapping out of my current radio system (Spektrum) for various reasons that aren't important here. (Don't wanna start radio wars!) Considering Futaba 14SG, possibly Jeti DS14, or more likely a JR XG14 DMSS or XG11 DMSS. In my giant scale planes in the past I've always used...

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

I saw one setup with a DA-35 at a fly-in last weekend, Vegasking owned it. Flew great. He said he likes it more than several other planes that he has in this size, including the Extreme Flight 76" MXS, which is definitely not too big for a 40 twin.
