AeroWorks 50CC EDGE 540 ARF QB
Well I finished the plane today. She is balanced and ready for flight. Also fired the Motor up for the first time today. Now I just have to wait for the weather and the snow to melt... Today was 44 degrees here so we are getting close. You tube video of first run- toysforbigboys

I got the cowl cut and installed. Also Prop and spinner are installed. I wish I would of listen to AeroWorks, they suggested and recommend the Pitts style muffler over stock. The stock muffler completely sticks out out the front of the cowl...does not look terrible, but would of been so much...- toysforbigboys

Anxious is not the word..lol. Still waiting for the weather to warm up some to allow me to fly. I have 1 other plane to Maiden, and a plane I just bought used to test fly... so I really really want to FLY....I hate WINTER...lol- toysforbigboys

@stangflyer getting closing :) I did some more work on the the bird done today. Fuel tanks are now installed. Smoke Pump installed Switches and fuel dots installed Wiring 99% done. I am hoping tomorrow after work to get the cowl cut and installed... She is almost done.- toysforbigboys

Well It has been a few days since I worked on the Plane. I got the motor (DLE61) so back to work. Had to open the fire wall just a bit for throttle push rod and choke arm to clear. Got the Motor installed and according to all measurements I was able to just use the stock standoffs that...- toysforbigboys

I don't know much about the GP, but I know the DA 60 has more power then the DLE, but for the price of the DLE compared to the DA and the good luck I have had with DLE (knock on word) that is the motor I went with. Plus on the Aeroworks 88 edge 540 qb the DLE should be able to pull that plane...- toysforbigboys

I am not trying to confuse.. when I was looking at the diagram that Tower-hobbies has...I was adding the 172mm and 68mm cause of the way the diagram looked...By the diagram the engine is way to big for the plane I have. well from the diagram I added it said from the prop hub to the engine mounting holes was 172mm...well the plane I have from the firewall to the cowl opening is 6 13/16 inches (173mm) the motor head would be up on the firewall according to my diagram the diagram that you provided from prop hub...- toysforbigboys

Before the diagrams that Kork and Truckracer I looked at recesses the carb, but that would not have worked, cause the plane I have is 171 MM from the firewall to the front of the cowl...i would have had to more the firewall back and would not have wanted to do that..lol.. Does anyone know if the spec are right on the DLE 61?? Say nearly 9 1/2 inches from stock stand off to prop hub. Hoping I did not order a motor that is going to be hell to fight to my new plane.- toysforbigboys
