Scale Balsa USA P51 Mustang, info

Didn't know they made one! Can't image that they would sell a bad kit.

Scale Wendell Hostetler 30% PA-28 Cherokee Build

I received the electronic copy of the plans and reviewed. At this point I'm leading towards building the second 30%, having the molds and plugs along with commercially available cowl and wheel pants is a big plus.

Scale Wendell Hostetler 30% PA-28 Cherokee Build

https://www.planeandpilotmag.com/article/1966-piper-cherokee-140/ 1/3 of 30 is 10, 10 times 12 equals 120". Close enough for me. Looking for a daily flyer not a full blown scale project. This will be covered with Monokote just like the previous two. If it is a little off nobody will care and...

Scale Wendell Hostetler 30% PA-28 Cherokee Build

Was doing a little web surfing last night and came across a mention of Eureka Aircraft. I remembered they had listed a large scale Cherokee on their site some time ago. I remember seeing the plane at the Toledo show many years ago, I think the photo on their web site is from the Toledo show...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

Thanks but that's way too big. The channel I used is 1/8" square with a .017" wall, I think it's going to work out just fine with .040" thick windows. I have .040" polycarbonate sheet (Lexan) that I had tried to vacuum form a windshield for the Champ, this will be more scratch resistant than...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

Found a little time last night to work on the Champ. The original plans showed a 3/8" wood dowel at about the midpoint of the left front window. After reviewing several full scale photos it was determined that is actually the frame for the front sliding glass. While going over the plane I...

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

I would say most J3's did not have lights or electric systems when built so I would not include lights. The Super Cub Nav Light bracket drawing is attached. Looks like a 2 stoke glow type carb, tank pressure? I thought the same of the Champ but it flies heavy. I have it on diet now but it is...

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

I use it to fill large gap in wallboard before taping. Can't image sanding it next to balsa?

I It sure does. Will it run on methanol or gas? Will the OS fit better?

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

I have had these folks make scale logos for my Cherokees. Maybe they can make what you need in 33%. http://www.aerographics.com/images/documents/kits/interior/Piper_PA-18_Super_Cub_Interior_AeroGraphics_Placards.pdf

    Yes/No?

I don't think so, but who knows?
  18. TonyHallo

    Yes/No?

The Falcon CF prop that was on the Cherokee had a wood filler, it was a light gray color. When I drilled it the filler looked almost white and it is a gummy substance.

Do you plan to cover the boot cowl with aluminum? If so I don't think you need to fully sheet the area, just a few stringers. That's what I did on the Champ and it has worked well.
