Dang thats a good lookin plane ! Glad it helped your routine, this may sound crazy but... IMAC Dalton 300 ml build thread.
Go with what your used to and comfortable with, id say its the same debate as with oils or radio gear, I've heard all kinds of bad things about both, ive heard alot of good things about both, I've seen fabulous covering work done with both. Getting started in Giant Scale RC---Tools and Supplies
A good friend is the best addition to any shop or build.another set of eyes ,hands , thoughts, experience, ideas and jokes makes all the difference in the world. A bench top disc / drum sander and couple 8' srtaight edges are pretty cool to have too.- IMAC FANATIC

As far as I know Merle is his dad, not sure though. Id like to see a thread on that mount, please keep me posted. but ouch 10oz. Thats alot of tail weight to compensate for something already balanced and flying.- IMAC FANATIC

Thats the one, use the backplate together with the zero degree or 2 degree firewall depending on your thrust and spinner gap it'll calm down alot. Ties the whole thing together quite well. Im sure youve balanced your prop two ways also. Lil triangle stock or carbon cloth to inside motor box...- IMAC FANATIC

Ive heard that re3's require servicing after a few years/seasons to remove any carbon back up on the baffles, robs power and causes back pressure requiring leaning of carb. Maybe a back plate behing firewall to spread the load is remedy, white rose i think,was for me.went through 2 mufflers...- IMAC FANATIC

Subd, I too would like to see an IMAC sequence done with absolute scale airframes, chipmunks, lasers, dr-107's, and the like, it would put the "scale" back in scale aerobatics. Now wheres that emoticon with the smiley eating popcorn? Would be very fitting here lol. Very very happy...- IMAC FANATIC

Why do you love this hobby?
Alot of great stories here, so heres mine. A buddy at work has been into model rc for 35+ years, raced nitro boats at championship level and managed a hobby store for a few years, mentions to me.. theres a huckfest in Lodi October 2011 , so I go , expected to see alot of glo and ep planes...- IMAC FANATIC

Last month, flying Dave's Carden 118, took off , banked right... kept banking... banking, wouldnt roll back to level, frozen.. watching beautiful plane heading up and out with no control what so ever.realized somehow I fat fingered...- IMAC FANATIC

IMAC JTEC/ Radiowave 3.1m competition series
Use it exclusively for every lapped edge now, that plastic #11 blade tool is a POS compared to this one. Takes a reg blade so its much cheaper to use and gets several cuts per blade. By the second cut it made clean professional grade edges.Highly recommended tool.- IMAC FANATIC

Ummm, I think ill pass on that one, too easy, LOL. My buddy , Jay had a 37% EG MX-2 , in that scheme.. it met a tree, but was a good lookin bird. I dont know if this tool is old hat or a brand new wonder tool but if you guys dont have one.. get one. Best thing for monokote since... ever ...- IMAC FANATIC
