71" AJ Slick Building, Flying, and Questions

Welcome to the forum! I run Hitec 7955TGs in my (electric) 71" Slick and I'm using a single tail servo without any problem. You can also use the Savox SC 1258TG (same as Align DS610). I use them in my 72" Extra. Most people seem to be running single elevator servos. My Slick is electric, but...

    -= SLiCKNeSS SiCKNeSS =-

I put my 51" Slick and three batteries in the trunk of my car when I left this morning and on my way back from my client, I stopped at my "other" field and flew three quick consecutive flights. I have to say that out of all the planes I've ever flown, the 51" Slick may be my all time favorite...

Actually, it was more than that. The "neck" (I'm sure it has a name) of the crank case leading up to the prop hub was cracked. The material was very thin, so it was an accident waiting to happen. The v2 crank case is much thicker. Mike at ibcinyoyrc fixed it under warranty and upgraded it to a...

    Aerobeez 48" EPP/Balsa hybrid Sbach 342

Yeah, I guess the lack of poptops is the price you pay for the benefit of having an airframe you can abuse like that. I think this plane is going to be my platform for finally mastering rolling harriers.

    Aerobeez 48" EPP/Balsa hybrid Sbach 342

Introduction We all love our profile foamies for their light weight and crash forgiveness. But they are limited to indoor venues or calm days (which we don't seem to get many of). Here's where the hybrid EPP planes come into the picture. They are reasonably crash resistant and the good ones can...
