Cody was doing low rollers all over the place. But he can probably do rollers with a lead brick.

Well, even after a couple of beers that Noll offered me (and I gladly accepted) it was really rock solid in harriers and hovers, so I'd say it's pretty good. :)

    My 3DHS BIGFOOT build

Yup. I was equally upset when I put together my 72" Extra until I figured out the epoxy had leaked in from the control horn slot. It's better to put in the joiner before the horns.

I thought I was about to lose my RC-mojo. But that was before I ran a few batteries through my 51". I love how that plane flies!!!

Yeah, mine does the same. I have to use a lot of down elevator to make it come down. Not sure it's tail heavy, because it has none of that telltale twitching. I think it's just the way the plane flies.

Maybe. Hopefully I can get the engine to run so I can try it out this weekend.

Whatever you do, stay away from the PowerHD servos! I had thee servos strip in an equal number of flights. I've had some minis from Solar and I had no major compalints. Not as fast as they advertize, but they worked fine for the dozen flights I put on them before an secret benefactor (hi Gary!)...

    The Bonehead Files

That lesson cost me an ESC! Guys and gals! When you take your motor off, make sure you put it somewhere that's free of metal debris! I just had an "inexplicable" ESC fire and when examining the plane, I found the motor was locked, so I took it apart. In side, I found a lot of metal filings and...

There's definitely interest! It looks like that plane would fly very nice. Probably a good "low and slow" flyer. I personally have no experience with scratch builds, so I would love to learn more about what goes into it. Keep going!!!

    Lesson learned: Bullet connectors

Yeah, I was thinking of you and your 72 and I may just solder the thing and be done with it.

    Lesson learned: Bullet connectors

I had a bullet connector where the male and female fit together a little loosely. Since I always put an extra piece of shrink tube over the connection and there's no chance they'll pull apart, I didn't think much of it. Well, yesterday my 51" Slick had a dead stick (with a perfect landing...
