    Two Throttle Linkage Questions??

Do you know of any empirical evidence or documentation? I'd like to go back with something other than my unsubstantiated opinion. Take care Bob

    Two Throttle Linkage Questions??

I've not used either of these methods, I guess I'm just OLD school, or maybe just OLD. Anyway there are a couple of guys at the field that --> 1) Use standard 2/56 type nyrod on gas throttle linkages. And it works by the way, and has been working quite awhile. 2) Use...

    Throttle Linkage Geometry

Which of the seven servo pictures in my attached .pdf in the first post best represents 6:00? I have throttle servos mounted several different ways and am curious. Thanks Bob

How exactly do you mean "skipping" a tooth on the servo Phil?

    Throttle Linkage Geometry

Yes it does seem to be all in the throttle. Next debate will have to be thumb versus pinch for better throttle management:eek-new:

    Moving to High Voltage

I like the HiTecs too. Got tired years ago of the gear slop in the other brands. Like the programming feature too. Yeah, HiTecs have their issues, but so does most anything else in this hobby. Take care Bob

    Throttle Linkage Geometry

Wish I could be easy and slow on the throttle. My curve is just the opposite of yours. I have it set to be slow at the bottom. I try to be smooth and steady with the throttle and rpm, but it comes on when I need it on the top part of the curve. I have a 9503 and use two curves...

    Throttle Linkage Geometry

What's the general consensus on throttle geometry? I've heard some swear by a 1 to 1 relationship between the servo arm length and the throttle arm length, and then there's the attached method? To me, stalled flying is all in the throttle, and it just has to be correct...

So where is everyone from? Countries? States?

Flying is a real pain anymore. With all of the lunatic fanatics, it's a necessary thing though.

I worked in the medical field administratively for a couple of years. The surgeons had absolutely No Life! God Bless you, and it's nice to see you now have a little time to relax on the board. Take care Bob

How did you get or come up with your user name?

No magic with my username. I just wanted everyone to know where I'm from when I was posting on RCO? Anyone remember that? There was another site I used to post to when I got my first Tandy 1000 with a meg of ram. That was the bomb back then. Can't remember the site though...
