    Yeah, that's the plan. Timing depends on whether my wife manages to drag me to church... :) But worst case I should be there around 11:30. Best case around 9:30...

    Hehe... Yeah... :) If I remember correctly, advanced timing can get you some extra RPMs at the cost of more heat. It works best at high RPMs (and high Kvs) and the lower the RPM, the more losses you'll get as heat. This makes it exceptionally bad for 3D. If you're harriering and hovering...

    Why did you change the timing? It's usually not a good idea. 12x6 is at the very top of the range that motor can handle. I fly (or flew) mine on 11x5.5 and there was no lack of power!

    I don't know, but I don't feel comfortable inviting guests if the field needs to rest. I may actually fly at my other club to keep my feet off the runway at GCA.

    Luckily that's three years old. I think the conclusion was that the full-scale pilot was an idiot who was hot dogging and doing an unannounced low pass over the runway. But I may be wrong.
