    Flew mine in 15mph sustained winds and 20-25mph gusts. Seriously, this thing just plows through winds like it wasn't even there! Man this is a stable plane!

    I just hook the charger up straight to the car battery. But you can only do that for 2-3 batteries before you run out of car battery.

    I can start almost anytime on Sunday. If I prepare the day before, I could be out of here by 8 and at your field around 9. But still, 18 mph sustained is A LOT! :( EDIT: Oh, you mean coming to my field... Well, I think it's 9am for electric and 10am for gassers. I could be there as early as 9...

    Sunday looks like 18mph at your field and 13mph in Somerset. I don't know about you, but 18mph sustained is kind of a pain to fly in. You're easily going to have 25mph, maybe 30mph gusts...

    Looks like a gusty 10-15mph for Sunday, so unless the gusts are really bad, it could be flyable. Both my fields get really turbulent when it's gusting...

    Hi gang! Did you miss me? :) I haven't been as active as I should lately due to the Toledo show and work commitments. Sitting here hoping that the wind forecast for Sunday is wrong and it will turn out flyable. That 72" Extra needs some airtime!

    "You drove 550 miles? Are you crazy?!" I think it was Joe Smith who asked me that. And yes, a 1000+ miles round trip is definitely not for the faint of heart, but several back-issues of ATTF and RadioLab through the speakers certainly helped. I have to admit that I'm still a bit tired, though...
