    Gyro, the only thing I would be concerned with is how the sudden surge of current affects the filter capacitors. The spark itself is relatively harmless, although it's startled me more than once. I suppose, in theory, a spark arrester would prolong the life of the ESC by allowing the capacitors...

    Or you could simply have two deans in parallel. On one of the deans you hook up a resistor in series with the positive lead.

    Some dremel surgery of the fender washers needed to make them fit. But bigger washers are better, IMHO, so it's worth a little work with the cutting wheel.

    Just finished the rough cutting of the cowl and the verdict is that the PTE36R is a perfect drop-in replacement for the DLE30 in the 72" Extra. The spinner gap looks like it's going to be perfect with the stock standoffs! I'm a happy camper!
