Big Torque Servos - ProModeler PDRS420BLHV 420oz Brushless servo!

I see it on the ProModeler site now. I was on the Audacity Models site. That's the one that they aren't on any more. Hopefully it's just because they're out of stock.

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

We were in the "Icemageddon" warning area, but we only ended up with less than a 1/4". We had a bad one a while back when my business was out of power for about 4 days. Luckily the house stayed on. We had lots of family that had to come stay with us because their power was out.

@Snoopy1 did you ever here back about the servos? I was just on their website and the 420oz is no longer listed.

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

I got a little work done today. I installed the tail wheel springs, installed the rudder servo and worked on the rudder cables. I had some trouble with the Secraft ball links that came with the HiTec 7956SHR rudder servo. They would not thread on to the turnbuckles, the plastic was too hard...

Is this prop safe to use ?

It does always amaze me how the most dangerous guys in the club never get any grief at all, but I get chewed out for flying a pattern at a 45 degree angle across both runways (we have an L shaped field) when I'm the only airplane in the air and there is no club rule against it.:face-palm: We've...

Is this prop safe to use ?

I wouldn't risk it. I watched an airplane shed a blade a few years ago. I'd seen it before but this one was spectacular. The guy was a total idiot (I normally wouldn't say that, but since this guy barely missed me when he flew through the pits one day I don't feel bad for calling him an idiot)...

    servo balancing

That's how I'm planing to do my new Extra 300x. I helped a friend last year setup an airplane using a Booma RC Intellimatch IM22 servo matching system. Once you made some sense of the instructions it was easy and works great. But it's a hundred bucks.

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

I closed the shop and stayed home today because of "Icemageddon". I got the rudder hinges glued in along with installing the tail wheel for the last time and mounted the horns and the steering tiller. I wasted over an hour looking for the tiller. I apologize for the bad pictures Ive been...

The plates are either from Spot-On or Secraft one or the other. I also like the carbon fiber ones from Align.

It will have HiTec 7955tg's on the elevators, JR8411's on the ailerons, a 7985mg on the throttle and a HiTec 7956shr rudder servo. I tried to post a picture of the 7956SHR but for some reason can't.

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

Since I finished my paint touch ups on my Carf Extra 330L and think I have it sold, it's time to get back on this project. I had a little time last night so I glued the hinges in one of the elevators. Tonight I installed the servo, horns, and linkage. They've been forecasting "Icemageddon" here...

Big Torque Servos - ProModeler PDRS420BLHV 420oz Brushless servo!

These are at the top of my list for my Hangar 9 Extra 300X. They're out of stock right now, but I'm sure if you contact them they can give you all the details. I know the version 4 is tall. A lot of it will stick out of the wing.

Sport Where to get foam for foam core wings????

One of these days I'm going to build a 50cc pattern airplane. Here are some designs I was working on for fiberglass fuselages. One is a more classic Tipo shape and the other is like a newer Krill Spark Evo. Both would use a DLE 55 rear exhaust with an enclosed tuned pipe.

Sport Where to get foam for foam core wings????

Are you planning to go with a wing tube or use the stock plywood spar plug in setup?

    New Paint Gun advice needed

Painting is one of those things where everyone has their own system. I have never had a gun just for clear, just never saw the need. I do have guns strictly for primer though. Everyone has their own way. Mine might not work for them or their's for me. I have a friend that uses only Matson...
