    I haven't done much in the last few days, but I did get the holes drilled and test mounted the louvered covers for the landing gear bolts. I used some Allen head screws from Bob Violett Models. The location of the screws meant that I could not use Philips screws because I couldn't get to them...

    We're lucky enough at our field to have lots of trees................. but thank the lord they are all behind the you in the pits where you need the shade. Not a single one where you fly for a very long way.:)

    It's setup for a single in push pull. They say you can do two, and the arm is made for one on both sides, but I haven't checked to see if the fuse has mounts on both sides or not. The weight of two mounted that far back worries me since I've heard it comes out tail heavy even with one rudder servo.

    Today I painted the gear legs and the louvers that cover the access hole for the gear bolts. I considered rounding the edges of the gear but decided against it, so I just smoothed everything out and then sprayed a coat of self-etch primer then basecoat black and then clear.

    I have not. I sold my Carf Extra last week and went to buy the Promodeler 420 servos and they are out of stock. I've been giving serious thought to using Hitec 7954's on the ailerons and elevators and a 7950 on the rudder.

    I ended up enlarging the hole I had in the firewall by dropping it down and squaring off the bottom edge. Then I made a box out of 1/32" ply, fuel proofed it and glue it on. I also put an angle on the bottom of the hole in the firewall so anything that collects in the box will drain out.
