Your in Georgia, your not supposed to root for the Cowboys.;) Now "Go Cowboys Cheerleaders", that is something I could get behind!:lol2:

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

No problem, I need to split the cowl on my Hangar 9 Extra 300X too, so I needed to dig that thread up anyway.:)

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

I have never used either. I haven't found anyone complaining about the Promodeler 420's so I'm leaning that way. Some people have had gear slop issues with the 1270tg's, but results seem to vary. The Promodeler 420's are version 4 now, but I have yet to hear a complaint about the earlier ones...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

Either Savox 1270tg's, or ProModeler 420's. That's the plan at this point anyway.

Futaba GYA 430 vs. GYA 440

Yes, with a helicopter in hold you can swing the tail left or right or even backwards and it will stay until you change it, no matter your direction of flight. I think you may be better off in normal mode, or rate mode whatever Futaba calls it. I think AVCS/hold may really make it fly strange...

Futaba GYA 430 vs. GYA 440

I'm not a gyro expert, but I do fly helicopters and have a Bavarian Demon Cortex gyro in my Pilot Edge. AVCS, Angular Vector Control System, is Heading Hold. Heading Hold, is what we fly in with helicopters. It keeps the tail at the same angle no matter the flight direction. In my opinion...

Hold onto your InterLink-X Controller!!! The new RealFlight is here! X changes everything!

You just saved me a lot of money. I would have needed a computer upgrade to run the new one.

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

That's the plan, but my week of work looks like there wont be any time for dealing with airplane stuff. Hopefully I can squeeze it in somewhere. I'm several days behind already and it's only Monday.;)

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

I'll try and get a picture of it tonight. It runs the length of the wing tube socket on the bottom of the left wing. It makes me wonder just what they screwed up. Did they cut the tube hole in the foam core wrong? Did the glue for the tube socket expand and make the lump? There are supposed to...

I was checking out the wings tonight and found that the left wing has a big lump where the wing tube goes.:( The quality control issues are piling up.

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

I received a package from Extreme Flight today, a Blazing Star mount, and a 5" carbon spinner with an aluminum backplate. Hangar 9 recommends a 4 1/2" spinner, but that looked way too small to me. I think the 5" fits it pretty well. I'm a tad concerned at how much right thrust is built in. I...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I did nothing in my shop last night but stare at things.:( The good news is I think I have somewhat of a plan for the order of what gets worked on. I'm going to put the landing gear on the new Hangar 9 Extra so I can put it on it's wheels in the family room, then finish cleaning the shop. After...
