IMAC Aero Tech 35% Velox Custom Build

C-mon now. Be kind. There is a place for electrics. Maybe attached to a thin piece of foam? But not for something like this. No way. Must have fire breathing, smoke belching, ear rumbling, prop shredding, piston popping jugs of death attached.

Now that is so sa-weeet. I would love to see a photo of the bottom side of the nose. I would love to see how he baffled the cylinders. According to the posts I read, the multi-cylinder inline engines are not all that difficult to baffle and keep cool. It is all a matter of being a little...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

My friend that has the Pilot 47% Decathlon with the Valach 210 twin on it also has the 50cc Pilot Decathlon. It sports a Saito 56cc twin gasser. He lovingly refers to them as the "Monsta Tug" and the "Pee-Wee Tug". Both fly so smooth and gentle. I like the Citabria's also, but really love a...

Cool.... Being able to rip/cut your own wood the way you want it must really be a relief. Too many times I have attempted to assemble a kit only to find the wood is way too dry, way too hard to absorb glue well, and way too warped to even use. I always liked Midwest balsa.

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

Ok my friends... I have a little problem. You see it goes something like this. I went to the club auction tonight and had a lot of fun. Not the usual old worn out stuff like we all see at these types of things. But actually some really nice stuff. Yes, way...."WAY" too small for my liking. But...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

So the power package I am using for the Twisted Hobbies Edge is the package from the DW 330 foamy. When I went to Washington last year to pick up the new Behemoth Yak (2), Steve had the foamy 330 on the shelf and he basically gave it to me ready to fly, minus servos and batteries. The motor is a...

I bought just the plane itself. I am using all of the electronics, servos and motor and ESC out of my 330 foamy. I will have to look at the servos and all of the rest of the electronics this evening because I don't know for sure.

I might feel left out on the big Cubs. Oh but that feeling will soon dissipate once the Thunder Mustang spreads her wings and roars across the skies.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Ha! Got that covered. The motor is already red. There are many parks I can go to fly around my little city of Meridian. My favorite is wide open lawn and no trees. Perfect foamy-port. Shhh.... I'm trying to deal with my iniquity all on my own. Sorry... couldn't help my self. Temporary...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Well now I have gone and done it. I have gone over to the dark side. Wow, and I said I would never fly foam or electrics. I just killed that bird with a one-two punch. Whamo. But what the heck. My DW foamy was kind of beat up when I bought it and it has flown nice. But time for an upgrade. Enter...
