    I built planes for people for years, so we could make that happen if you want.;) When you look on his site the photo he uses is my old beater UFO. It was a glass Great Planes kit I bought built. It was a pretty bad job, but flew great. I had it for probably 15 years and sold it in 2013.

    That was my buddy Tony's, and I remember it well. It was like a new born deer on it's unsteady legs.;) It was still in his workshop a few months ago when I was there.

    Go up where your name is at the top and go to Alert Preferences in the drop down menu and look there to see whats checked.

    Ouch! But that's how my scratch build started, with a set of wings and tail surfaces from a Yak I killed.;)

    I have the 30% Ace kit at home, as well as the original Sachs 3.2 that was in my friends. It's kind of a "one of these days" project, but I think I'd put one of my DA50's in it instead of the Sachs. With a fuselage redesign to lighten it up MANY pounds it would be a cool airplane.;)

    Is it just me, or has the button for uploading photos gone blank? There is just a blank spot between "Post Reply" and "More Options" It still works if you click in the blank spot so it's no big deal for me, but someone new might get lost.

    Sometimes homemade tools are the best. Even though I'm swimming in different types of squeegees, my favorite tool for spreading epoxy resin is a piece of 1/32" ply that's been coated with resin and sanded smooth. You just never know what's going to work for you.:)

    Even though I do still have this Curare, I retired it years ago so I do miss flying it. I didn't build this one, but I've owned it for about 30 years. I started to sand and repaint it a long time ago, but never did.
