    IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

    Lots of great tips. Here's some more.... Focus on the fundamentals of the GEOMETRY of the figures. Devote some practice sessions to just doing the basic figures, over and over. Loops, 1/2 loop to inverted, another 1/2 loop to upright. Make sure the wings are level at the beginning and end...

    What Happened here?

    Funny! My first flight ended in a creek...hand launched .049 Testors Skyhawk, downwind!!! It couldn't get enough airspeed to climb out before going into the creek. Probably a good thing as it was in a smallish school yard surrounded by houses, trees, power lines, etc.

    Oh yeah....met Don at my first contest in '84 at Warrenton, VA. He had (maybe still does) a nice custom S1-S that he flew in Advanced for a long time. Later bought a Sukhoi SU-31 (i think), but i was out of competition by then. He and his wife are great folks. Haven't seen him for a year...
