The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Absolutely correct. Thankfully, 3w also puts "knurling" on their headers. Higher end canisters also have the same. But as many of you noticed, the KS comfort headers on my 106cs are smooth as a babies a*%. Hence the reason I put a regular worm drive hose clamp on the header coupler to keep it...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

If only we could have all the money back we have spent on this silly hobby! WOW!! I could be in Bermuda with two lovely redheads. LOL. Like you Kelly, I have had just about every four stroke Saito ever built. The only one I had that I was displeased with was my early version glow radial. I could...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

One can only hope. But I think it would be much easier to go grab a fellow glow flyers gallon jug of the special blend liquid gold, remove cap...breath in deeply, pour a few drops into said coffee cup, stand behind exhaust of running glow engine...again breathing in deeply. Ah! Yer set for the...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Ok, I will cave. There are days during the early morning hours of summer, when some of the glow guys come out to fly that I actually wait for the reeeeen reeeeen reeeeen..... of the two stroke glow motors. Or the putt-putt-putt of the four stroke nitro misers. With a hot cup of coffee in hand, I...

So is there a tutorial video that teaches how to do that? I've always wanted to do a tree landing but was afraid the tree would come down due to the weight of my planes. What unique technic do you use?

I found this post to be well thought out, perfectly organized, supremely executed, vitally informative, extremely helpful and most of all, cheerfully enjoyable to read. But you just had to go say the "G" word didn't you Kelly. Hee hee.... nothin' but love for ya bro.

Normally I would agree, yet take a look at where the header broke. Right on the actual "fold". Weird is all I got to say. Hoping it was just a fluke ya know?

I've not used the knuckle headers. Mostly I use the pre bent fit to application type. Unfortunately on the Pilot Edge, they would not work. Wrong angle. As for prone to breakage, according to 3w, not so much. But I can't see how they could be too strong as thin as they are. But talk about a...

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

Ah yeah!! I do like that warning much mo betta! Just like a full scale. Wow. But...but...but, I do have one valid and probably very curious question that is no doubt on "everyone's" mind. Are you planning to fly that beautiful ship until you hear that really cool feature??? I probably would...

Thanks Kelly. That too was my thinking. I could use the canister route but I figured as smooth as this motor runs I probably would not gain that much in how it runs. And I am really not too sure I would gain that much in the performance department over the stock exhaust. For the deficit of...

I suppose you are right. At least it wasn't that "G" word.

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

Talk about way cool. This is really neat. I think I need something like that. Not cuz I fear running out of fuel. But because it is a very cool feature. Very nicely done! Ya know? I don't really mean this in a bad way, but I sometimes get this mental image of this HUGE throbbing and pulsing...

Especially when you can slip down to your local family park one mile away from your house. About 900 million acres of manicured grass and no one around cuz of the chilly temps.

So what else did I do this weekend? Oh yeah, that darn baby Yak. I really didn't like the fact that I was going to have to "hack" up the cowl with the Pitts muffler. So I decided I would do a test run with the stock muffler. Huh...what do you know about that? It gained a little more rpm. Ok, I...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

A little bit accomplished this weekend. I took a few minutes yesterday after getting off work early, to tear into the Pilot Edge so I could replace the broken KS Comfort header that broke a couple of weeks ago. Thing I don't understand is how it broke "right" on a "fold". I could see it if it...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

So back when I purchased my replacement Behemoth Yak (2), Steve also had something I just felt I could not live without. What is it you ask? Well duh...if it has wings, I will fly it. LOL. Actually $20.00 bucks brought this little foamy guy home. Yes, Kelly....I said "foam". Ugh.... I put it to...
