Pilot 40% 330 Recover and Build

Thank you David. I appreciate the vote of confidence. The big Comp Ark Sukhoi is simply amazing. I would have loved to owned it just for the scheme. But were I to do something like that, then there would be two of the same scheme. Guess I want my own. LOL

Pilot 40% 330 Recover and Build

Better things to do? Liiiike??? Hee hee... all in due time. Actually, you're kind of on track. But not so much. Clear as mud now? LOL. There is "only" one "Baby". She can't be reproduced, or even duplicated. NO BC needed. Even ole' George can't talk me into that. Four red heads are good. But...

Pilot 40% 330 Recover and Build

While the cat is a way, the mice will play. You guys are a total hoot. :epic: I've been playing with the Baby Yak-ster tonight. The new H-9 Pilot bust arrived. I want to get it installed, but really want to get some instrument decals first. That will be later. But for now, I think it is time to...

    RC Airplane Memes

About the time my plane runs over me would be time for me to consider another hobby. Oh wait...I suppose if one of "MY" planes runs over me, I might consider what suit I want me dressed in for the funeral. LOL. Doah....bad day at the field.

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

It is hard to imagine the intensity of this build. The overall construction, the attention to detail, the "Continental 0200". Wow, If I do nothing in 2019, it will be because I am saving all my time and money to see this masterpiece in person. I am staying with your thread to the end.

Help! 33% Pilot Yak 54 CG?

Not the same plane. Pilot did in fact offer a 33% 97" Yak 54. http://www.pilot-rc.com/productshow.aspx?id=69 The Predessor to this was indeed the SD 33% 95" Yak 54. Can't say for sure but have heard the Pilot was a good flying plane. The SD on the other hand is amazing. As for cg? I never...

Pilot 40% 330 Recover and Build

I can't take the credit for what I have in mind. You all have seen the scheme. Well, at least a small portion of it that is. At least I believe you have. I do know it will be very time consuming and quite labor intensive. However I do really think it will be breathtaking. Are y'all scratching...

Pilot 40% 330 Recover and Build

So it seems it is once again time to do another Recover/Restore project. Oh you all know how much I just enjoy taking something good and making it "my" own. Well such is the case with the newest addition to my ever growing fleet of less than small planes. I just can't help myself. A good deal...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

Dang... sorry to hear that. My condolences to your friend. As for the dead red head? Weird... but happy it lives. For sure???? Well you must understand. Had the 50cc Pilot Edge been mine, it would not have stayed grounded. I tried, but my friend just wasn't hearing it. "Gimmie the sticks, I'll...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

And indeed, we do! Take every opportunity that we can that is . Even though the wind was very minimal this morning, by the time we got to the field it was gusting to 15 almost 18 miles per hour. So maybe a little much for my friends 50cc Pilot Edge, but not so much for my 106cs powered Pilot...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

It must be something in the air. My son, my friend, and myself are all feeling a little bit "edgy" this morning. What is the best way to take off that "edge"? Well, take an "Edge" to the field and fly your heart out. So that's what we aim to do.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I can not be certain as I don't recall seeing a previous version. However, I do feel they are quite small. My problem was actually a dead hall sensor. I do know however that if the sensor, (semi-conductor) is not placed at the correct distance from the magnet, it doesn't matter how good it is...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Sa-weeeeet!!! 6700 on a first start rebuild? Nicely done Kelly. Very nicely done. I would think it is going to do juuuuust fine on that plane. I am so excited!! I can't wait to see a maiden video.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

If it helps, I do not worry about torque on exhaust bolts. My method: Make sure threads are clean and dry on both cylinder flange and bolts. Get proper size "Nord" locks for bolts. You may or may not need to get slightly longer bolts to accommodate the thickness of the Nord lock. I try to bury...
