    110" TIMBER Assembly Thread

I finally did this mod with the tube length shortened only. I feel like my springs are broken in and flex quite well. I drilled another hole 6-7mm inboard from the other hole on center. I gained just over 1/2” of Prop ground clearance.I am VERY pleased. On another note I ordered a new prop...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Crimps are pretty nice aren't they? I think I used 80# on the timber pull pull wires and all my 30cc stuff... the 120# must be really nice stuff. Sometimes you can downsize the crimp to get a tighter tolerance.

    Hello from Illinois

Welcome!! The only thing I could find on the Byron F16 is an 11 year old thread. They used a DynaMax XPS system 563kv motor on 12S 5000 packs with a 110A ESC. This info came from R C G and the guys has posted a bunch on YouTube if you look up "Billy D". I dont have any ducted fans or jets so I...

    GP-38 cc

Saw on the another site a guy said a 20x10 was a bit too much. It wasn't hitting it's top end but swung it well. He suggested try sticking with a 20x8 or 20x9. I remember when the DA35 and DLE35RA came out and everyone was eager to try a bigger prop than the DLE30 used so they all were saying...

Tonight I was able to make stall fences and glue them on the Super Otter. Took some tinkering no doubt. last week I was able to make a sea fin, and a tail light... took some time and dedication there...

me too!! It really pops at certain angles with the metalic blue, yet has a lot of depth which I like. With the dark mountains contrast is my friend.

    Mountain Goats and RC Planes

LOVE IT!! Stunning filmography, and epic flying terrain. The wide angle filming doesn't give the flying terrain justice at all. That looks steep! All I can say now is that you're going to love the wing loading on the Twimber!! Can't wait for you to get it up and flying

LOL! Sortof! It's not as bad in Southeast Alaska as it is up in the interior. I livved in Fairbanks for a year and watched the sun peak over the hill and set.

Shut the front door! I think you all get it in short MASSIVE dumps. Ours tends to be constant light rain with some intensity here and there. People are leaving here because of the lack of days without rain this summer. Annual average climate data suggests you get 221 days of sun, Mike gets 192...

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

It's been just a constant rain all summer long here, quite a few downpours but it doesn't blow through like it does other places. The mountains are cloud magnets here and lets them linger. I don't mind the rain too much, but this year is pretty epic. Lucky to have a hobby that is just as fun in...

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

As of a few days ago were already at our FIFTH WETTEST Summer on record since the records began recording in the late 1930's... let that sink in a bit. And while that's sinking in - think we still have a month left of summer... and while that is blowing your mind we've received 43" of rain since...

Very cool. I need to figure out how to replace the bridge on my Acoustic Guild... Thanks for the reminder. Poor guitar needs some TLC. BTW I've always wanted a tele thanks to Brad Paisley. LOL What a neat "mans" guitar. What you've built there is beautiful!!!

Well that's no good. in 2020 I've lost a lot of LiPos... bunch of foamy LiPo's were getting hot... guessing they are building up IR. couple days ago I was charging up a 2S 450mAh and it was starting to puff and get hot.... yikes! Time to retire another. Sounds to me like your lipo has a bad...

I use 80# Berkley steel nylon coated fishing leader (you can also get 120#) and use the associated crimps they make.
