If I wasn't scared in buying a 120cc airframe the 101" SW Laser 260 is getting glowing reviews. I've seen people say it flies better than the 89"

Changed out the servo wires to the tail with Hanson Hobbies 20AWG silicone wire. Also used 1/8” and 1/4” expandable looming with marine heat shrink (adhesive type) on the ends. I saw a post on social media with a guy that used AMASS MR-30 connectors for the servo wire connections in the tail. No...

Prepping and installing control horns. I scruff the part that inserts I to the control surface with 220 followed by 100 grit then clean off with isopropyl alcohol in case the peel ply had some sort of mold release on it. Test fit the control horns with the ball links installed and try to get the...

Thanks for bringing up the fiber ply laminate. There is a lot of people that look at all the black and out of pure deception think it’s carbon fiber when it’s actually dyed of blackened fiberglass. How can one figure it out? Carbon is conductive while glass is not. So does it have resistance...

Tim is the US distributer. Extreme Flight has been good to him, but was getting limited shipments and demand was high. Skywing has upped their game with innovation and aircraft size. They’ve been around a while, but Tim really made it all happen here in the USA. The foam turtle deck and tunnel...

Installed a J&Jstandard tailwheel. Given these guys are designed for larger airframes I was skeptical. But after putting one on my 91ARS I am sold. Love them! You can harrier land without breaking the rudder and or tailwheel asst. They don’t supply any hardware other than the straps and...

Here are a few inside pics. Gotta day that this whole carbon/fiber/laminate is 100% eye candy. check our all the powerplant options etched into the firewall. Even the new DLE65! I was considering it over the GP76, but I don’t like to be a test pilot for new engines... although I hear the...

First things first. Hitting everything over with an iron. 230-240F the metalic covering sticks 250F it pulls and the white backing will show around the edges. 260F bad things happen. Be very careful and don’t use a heat gun. Low temp is your friend. I had a hard time with the sock, so it came...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Man... playing on the website now. I honestly cannot find airplane tires unless I know specifically what I need. The old tower site had a tab specifically for airplane tires. The coupon codes are smaller and don't work that well, and I cannot get free shipping apparently. another e-mail sent

Nope, Other than the Seaplane Supply Floats would be much lighter... I like they way they perform, so no reason (other than weight) to try a pair of SS floats.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Info is coming from the guy that designs the floats so I trust his experience with the rc float sizing. I suppose I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth it to attempt more scale Floats that sit behind the prop. maybe I can make a separate set just for hanging. If the plane flies bad, it’s...

Floats... what should I do fellas? I want to keep a scale outline... scale is not nice to our little float planes. Mark at seaplane supply said he can make me some foam cores however I please, but short bows (may) make float planes nose over. Hmmmmm my extreme flight beaver, has a shorter...
