The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Hmmm! You do posse some thought provoking quandaries. I have always liked the Hammered look... guess I spent enough time that way when I was a wee laddie. Not really, but sounded good. I like the Hammered.

Oh all good points, one and all. Especially since my TT is like @thurmma . ;-) Though the Pete's is pretty and does have an aluminum back plate, I just feel the spinner cone should fit better than it does on the back plate. I've been using a c.f. spinner and c.f. backplate on the 157cs for...

Thanks gents. I do like CF too. But what I don't care too much for on the Pete's is that the diameter of the cone is not flush with the diameter of the back plate. It does have an aluminum back plate as expected with all the Pete's. I have never owned one of these before. But they sure are...

The Petes 4.5"x6" spinner arrived today. Very pretty and brand new as they come. So I test fit it to the Pilot Edge. I dunno guys...I still like the Tru-Turn better. What do all of you think? As a side note: the spinners are not bolted down tight. That is why they look as though they don't fit...

Aww crap, my mistake. I get a little ahead of myself sometimes. Truly... I was thinking composite and immediately thought about the bolted together spar thingy. Could it have been Krill I was actually thinking of??? A friend had a composite 100cc'er. I believe it was an Extra. I remember...

I had a really great day today. Started out with breakfast with my two beautiful little girls. Well, they are not so little any longer. One nearly 30, the other now 23. I just love spending time with them when I can. I came home and got to work on the last remaining repairs on the Pilot Edge...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

Ok, now I can see the front of it better. Wow...is all I can say. That is one really fine looking airplane. I am very jealous. I have really liked the CARF planes. I just didn't care too much for the fuselage seam that was so evident in all of them. Now that they have fixed that issue, I can...

Oh by the way. I had a thought regarding being broke in half. Personally, I would have wrapped a band of Nascar (duct tape) around the fuse and flew it some more. If the tape can hold at 200 mph and a lot of bumpin' and grindin', (just racing) then I am sure it can hold two pieces of plastic...

Sport The Kool Kanary (Giant Hot Kanary)

Taking some sticks and sheets of wood and putting them together and making a really cool flying "thing-a-majig" is lots of fun. I am actually looking forward to the Velox build for my friend this winter. Keep up the awesome, (as always) work!:way_to_go:
