Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

It was good times in Tri-Cities. Well, except for the part where I "FORGOT" to put in the canopy bolts on my brand new Yak. A single aileron roll to the left and that silly G-Force pilot bust got sckeerd and pulled the eject handle. Canopy came floating down to the ground. Not badly damaged, but...

Now I think I finally got my head around it. Really no difference except location of flight pack and sending signal down a single line. That was the strange part for me. Lol

So in other words the packets are much like the information packets on a computer and how they are transferred back and forth between programs and LAN based connections? All being sent out with identifiers so they can't go to the inappropriate channel? With each decoder having it's own power...

I have been intrigued from the moment we discussed this setup. I am still at a loss of how one fiber optic can carry the signal for 16 separate and individual channels. It does not compute in my feeble mind of how a throttle stick movement would not affect an aileron or elevator channel...per...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Funny you should mention that. My son and I usually have those kind of drag races on a regular basis. Wanna guess who wins 99% of the time? I will be fair and say, that triple deuce of his could flat out spank my 210csts. But straight out level, pretty even. But then again, we're racing 3W vs...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Pretty close. My son had her straddled on the maiden. She pulled him nearly over on top of her. LOL...And here I thought she was "MY" red headed Sophie. The 212 is very strong. I am so excited to be leaving for Tri-Cities day after tomorrow. She will do really well in the lower altitude.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I've got two used canister mufflers that would be perfect for that engine. I would let them go for a $fity dollar bill and shipping if you would like them.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I start my packing tomorrow. Got two 40 centers, two 100cc'ers, two 50cc'ers, (maybe the Jtec Pitts too) refrigerator, generator, pop-up canopies, field equipment, camping equipment, radios, chargers, gear, and four days of fuel to pack in a trailer. Oh this is gonna be fun. LOL

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I have been working with the second flight video for a while now and You Tube is being very slow tonight. I will try to get that video linked as soon as it is done processing. Until then, how about a little flight report? As many of you know, I was very apprehensive about putting this new bird...
