Sport Idiot Boy Builds an Old School World Engines Robin Hood 99 Kit

Right? For a minute, before I did a double take... They looked like the epoxie sticks I use. BIG planes..."BIG" epoxie sticks. Bwahaahaa Just funnin' ya Mike. The ailerons on my gasser trainer are smaller than yours. Hee hee

Umm...Mike? You sure those are ailerons? They look nothing like any of my ailerons.

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

About all that is left now is to put the deflectors in the face of the cowl and drill choke rod holes for the choke pull rods. It was surprisingly easy to fit the cowl this time. I don't suppose it had anything to do with the two previous cowls huh? This step is definitely not a step I care to...

Been getting some last minute details buttoned up in the Yak. I am going to start fitting the cowl shortly. Hopefully have some fully assembled and flight ready photos of the Behemoth Yak tomorrow.

Looking back at my logs, I average between 290 to 350 per year. I'm hoping to make up some lost ground in just over a week!

Thank you Mark. I had thought I read something like this would work, but could not remember. I definitely will give it a shot. The left wing takes a lot to get the tube to slide in. But the right wing is almost impossible due to it being so tight. I hope it works. Sounds like you have really...

And this my friends is how you set up and program a 129" 40% Yak in your living room. Hey!!! Wait a darn minute here. Haven't we been down this road before? With the aileron linkages now connected and both ailerons programmed, it was time to do some final deflection checks and...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I fired up the 212 earlier this afternoon. Not really knowing what to expect, (given the circumstances surrounding this 4 cylinder dub) I kept my expectations low yet had high hopes it would run well. Thankfully and with a huge relief the 212 not only ran well, it ran really well. I would think...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

Just keep flying. From day to night to day. Not many can say they have done that. Hmmm....I need to get my little gasserized trainer out and see if I can do an endurance flight. Pretty certain I could get a dawn to dawn flight in. Hee hee...

You and I must be on the same wave length. I have been saying the same exact comment to everyone. See, my plan is to jump on that big Behemoth Yak when the world ends and fly to another planet that hasn't exploded due to some celestial event.

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Quite a bit more accomplished tonight on the Yak. I kept at it and now have the throttle servo plate screwed to the bottom of the motor box, throttle servo in and plugged into the harness. Drilled the holes for the fuel tank vent and carb lines, located the canisters and mounts, bolted down the...

He promptly refunded the cost of the White paint, in which I went to..(believe it or not), to our local Home Depot...matched the color of white I needed and purchased a can. I think it cost me like 4 bucks with tax. It turned out really nice. But I had to be "really" careful when I clear coated...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Here is the latest progress on the Behemoth Yak (2). Sorry I have been so pre-occupied to get you all updated. Basically, both wings are all harnessed and servo'd up. Belly vent covering removed, landing gear is now bolted in place. I started installing the baffling on the 212 last...

My White also had serious issues. If you remember correctly, I posted the results in the build thread. However, Mike definitely made it right with me. Get hold of him and let him know what happened. Not only does he need to know so that he can take care of you. But also for others that purchase...

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

I forgot to mention since I no longer have a 111 under the hood on the Edge, I have a real nice DLE 111 decal from B&E up for grabs. Anyone want a "FREE" DLE 111 decal for their very own? I know I won't be using it and I hate seeing it sit. I carefully removed this from my Pilot Edge cowl to...
