What paint are you using @Snoopy1? Is this the same paint as I used on the Jtec Pitts?

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

Guess who has been out playing in the sun with their 3 W redhead? I got four good flights on it today and those MTW 75's were just the ticket. She is definitely a keeper now! @Shayne Epley brought out his lil Yak. 5 years, 3 airframes and 240ish flights and that lil DLE 55 still runs...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

For what it is worth, I had an RCGF 26 on my Dewoitine, (French Fighter) a few years back. Originally I had a Saito 125 on it. The glow 4 stroke sounded really cool and it flew it ok. But the gasserized 26 really made it haul the mail. That was the beginning of my gasser days. Dang, I miss my...

I am curious. What did you make the shim out of and how did you go about doing it? I would really like to know. That is some really cool stuff right there.

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Got a little more accomplished the last few days. Left wing panel now has control horns epoxied in, servo harness strung and all servos installed. I'll get some photos posted tomorrow after work. But suffice it to say, she's almost ready for the landing gear, baffling of the 212 and cowl. I...

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

You make this look so easy. In fact, this build reminds me of the story of "Beauty and the Beast". Total beauty in that beast sized plan;)e.

So the 106cs became total "BEAST" last night. The MTW 75's arrived and just couldn't wait to get them installed. All I can say is, "Wow"! Sort of like waiting for the Sun to come out of eclipse. Night and day difference. Throttle response is so good now that I swapped out the 5665 for a 7954...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Not as much accomplished this evening as hoped. But hopefully if I pace myself at just the right speed, I will be able to still get the "BIG" Yak completed by this weekend "AND"....maybe even catch some "zzzzz's"! I did get the aileron control horns epoxied in on the left wing panel. Really not...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Not a lot accomplished on the Behemoth Yak last night guys. Only a few minor things that need to be taken care of before I can proceed. As with the first Yak, I did have to cut canister relieves in the front former at the lower area of the can tunnel. I also finished tri stocking the tank floor...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Odd thing about the 3w 4 cylinder cranks is they've had really good success for the most part. But I suppose any manufacturer can run into some problems now and then. I just hope I received a much stronger crankshaft this time around. That 212 is one sweet running engine and it yanks 50 pounds...

I actually have considered it. But honestly I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to that kind of stuff. (Never done it before) So I have no idea where to start. I am also afraid if I shorten them too much, I may lose what I already have. The thought I have right now is based on past...

I was actually thinking the same thing earlier this morning while out flying. I may do that. I would much rather have the rpm "AND" clean air going into the carby.

They are KS 5. Or according to DA, KS 1011's. They say "60" on the end of them. They are supposed to be for 100cc engines. But honestly, for a DA 100 they would probably do just fine. The 106 cs having a 40% larger transfer port probably is what is causing the "anemic" feel. On the ground, it...
