Woohoo....can we fly it yet? Better yet, can we drop candy from it? Looks so awesome. I was very excited to see your new post. I get as thrilled about watching you build on this, as I do watching others do theirs.

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

Hey, that's the same screws that I use for my cowls. But I haven't gone so far as to color them. I have found for me that if I don't use the washer, for whatever reason the screws always seem to work themselves loose. I started using miniature bonded washers like what I have on the 260 and the...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I didn't do anything with the new Yak tonight. I've been tied up getting the new Pilot Edge cleared of all it's odd issues. But happily, It is now ready for the balance stands. Then we will go to the original Yak and open up the tattered covering to get some photos for Tony so that I can get the...

No photos, but quite a bit of progress on the Edge. Checked, double checked and triple checked the thrust angles on the Edge. They are definitely spot on and I even added an extra washer/wafer to bring the 111 out another 1/16" for clearance for the spinner back plate. All that is left is to put...

Oh hey, wait a darn tootin' minute. I just remembered, I have a test subject cowl I can practice with. Remember that "Brand New" cowl that arrived one day before the 212 came back from AI? Yeah, that one! The one that had 1 complete flight and one complete crash. Doah... I will use that to try...

Have not heard from the "G" man yet. USPS delivered it today. As I am told, Gerhard says AI is a complete zoo on Mondays. So he probably won't even look at it until tomorrow. Course he had a new crank on his order coming from Kraut-land. It is due for delivery tomorrow. Logically in my feeble...

I too have used both KS and MTW. I've also used Proflow, 3w, Greeves tuned pipes, and Dave Sullivan's smooth pipes. Of all that I've tried thus far, I think I like the MTW the best on DLE engines. I didnt like the Proflows or Smooth Pipes on my 170. Went back to the KS. Here's one for you. The...
